Lucky Find!
I LOVE this book! As a kid reviewing this I am OBSESSED WITH DOGS! I used to read this book everyday in preschool when I sadly had to leave about 8 years ago. I looked on Amazon as I do buy from there ALL the time I wasn't expecting this would pop up when I was looking for something else! I am SOOOOOOOOO happy I found this book! This book is about a young Border Collie named Floss and her master that move to a farm to learn how to become a Sheepdog. I am OVER THE MOON about finding this book again! Thanks Amazon!

Another great book from Kim :)
Floss lives with an old man in town and enjoys playing ball with the children. One day the old man gives her to his son who needs a new sheep dog. Floss learns fast but still yearns to be back playing ball. One day the children are playing nearby when Floss is supposed to be herding the sheep. She runs off to play & the sheep scatter thus she gets into trouble. Time passes, Floss works hard and one day the children ask if they can play ball with Floss again. The farmer looks at Floss and whispers "Go on then."A delightful ending to a beautifully illustrated book. Children will be drawn to the colorful, realistic, colored paintings that Kim is known for.Lovely, lovely, lovely :)

Lassie-Go Home
11 years ago I was given a black and white Border Collie for a Birthday present to help me get through a divorce, little did I know that I did not have a pet but a free thinking companion that was always one step ahead of me in daily routines. He is older now but still full of live and Floss will be the first book I read to any of my grand kids. A delightful story especially if you are fortunate to have one for a "pet".

Excellent little book
Perfect to go with the stuffed border collie by Douglas. Any child would love both.

Great book with amazing artwork
Our grandchildren love this book. We have a border collie and Kim Lewis captures our dog's mannerisms and movements perfectly. The artwork is outstanding ---- better than almost any children's book that I can remember. I highly recommend it as well as A Puppy for Annie, another border collie based book by the same author.

Kim Lewis writes wonderful stories and the whole series has amazing illustrations. They are gentle stories and Floss was the first one I bought for my Grandchildren - It was read over and over again. This 'Floss' was purchased for my friends two year old daughter.
