Game changer for cutting plywood!
I bought this unit plus the Wen 100” track package. The saw works great with the Wen tracks! Not sure if the Evolution tracks will attach to the Wens. Haven’t tried that yet, but the saw is excellent with either. Love the powerful 15amp motor. My first cut was in some old, rough cut 2” red oak and it went right through it! This track saw is so much easier than trying to set up and fight with a long straight edge guide. The saw and 40” track package is a great value. I wish they would add one more track so it can cut at least 48”, but it’s still a good deal. Wish I had this a long time ago!

Surprisingly good
I have bought two or three products from evolution, and I’ve been really surprised with each one and how well thought out they are. They are also a really good value for the money. I must say I had my doubts about this track song because it was so much cheaper than the Makita or the fess tool. That said I’ve made countless number of long rip cuts with this saw and everyone of them has been perfect. It also cuts at a pretty close tolerance. You may want to consider getting some additional track with this purchase because he’s little bits of track by themselves aren’t very helpful but they’re very nice if you have an odd size job and at least one regular size piece of track. This track saw is compatible with other brands of track. I bought some when track and it integrates perfectly fine with this saw. You will also probably want to get a pair of clamps that fit into the T track. Evolution makes a perfectly fine t track clamp that you can get on their website for nine dollars a pair. Shipping is included. I haven’t seen them on Amazon. If you want to get fancier, take a look at the power tech ratcheting T track clamps for about $30 a pair. With the money you’re saving on buying an evolution you can afford a few little extras.

The guide
The reason I gave this item only a 4 star was the guide. It is held in place with double sided tape. Probably for the reason so it can be replaced when it goes bad. The first time using it the white guide was coming off already. The more I used it the more it came off. Otherwise the rest of the saw and blade I would say it was a 5 star, but I only have had it just over a week. I think it will last for a long time since I will not use daily.

Can't be killed
I have had the saw for a couple years now. Treated it like a construction saw. Run hard and long days. I have cut thousands of feet and it won't die. I cut metal ,wood, and stone. But the primary reason I bought this particular track saw is it's open design is great for composite decking. Other track saws get plugged up when cutting plastic. I don't need dust collection so that's not a concern. The little tracks and clamps it comes with are a joke. Never used them. Get long tracks and ratchet track clamps from one of the other brands. The saw is amazing. Great deal and well built.

Definitely a really good saw
So far, it has been a very nice saw to work with. I have used it without the guide rails and its wide long base makes for good control. (I am still waiting for the rails to arrive, the first shipment got lost somewhere.). What surprised me is the blade. I bought a smooth cutting Diablo 60 tooth blade ahead of time because I assumed their blade, which is suppose to cut wood with mild steel nails and screws in it, as well as various plastics, would leave a roughly finished surface on my wood projects. To my surprise, the finish of the cut in medium-hard Southern Yellow Pine is quite decent. Probably 85% or 90% as smooth as the super smooth finish from the Diablo blade and likely preferable for glueing surfaces compared to the super smooth finish of the Diablo.Hopefully the saw works as well with the rails. So far... I really like it. The LED light illuminating the cutting-line is a nice little extra.Highly recommended!

Another good one from Evolution
The build quality, ease of use and functionality is very good. The value of using a small saw in my home metal/welding shop saves me time and money.

It broke on first attempt to use.
My Dad has a shed that needed some new flooring sections put in after some sections rotted away. I saw a video review on this saw and decided to buy it. I wanted a track saw so that I would be able to cut long sections straight and make it easier to place in new sections. I secured the track and put on the blade. I was holding the saw and squeezed the trigger. The center bolt blade turned and the saw blade never moved. It broke off and that was that. I had to use a regular circular saw to make the cuts. I registered the product shortly after I bought it and e mailed the company, but I haven’t heard back from them and gave feedback to Amazon that the company didn’t get back to me. I have used power tools for years and have never seen or heard of this happening before.

really useful tool for hobbyists/home improvement
TLDR: Great for hobbyists. one blade, many materials. might not be for heavy useFor the price, this thing is hard to beat. It cuts steel, aluminum and wood with pretty decent accuracy. I've been using it to cut plywood down to usable chunks for my table saw, and all my sheet metal cutting. I was amazed at how well it handled mild steel with the same blade as I used on plywood. The included tracks are very short, so I purchased the additional track kit. The build quality is good, it has a good feel in the hand, and has a nice long cord. This is not a single purpose tool, it is a multi-tool, so the buyer needs to understand it will not perform as or be as fast as a bunch of specialized tools might. I end up using it every few weeks or so for an odd job, and it's a welcome addition to my tool kit.
