I received a flower arrangement and this was added to hide the stems on a clear vase. I saved it thinking it was a great idea until after many uses it tore. Knowing Amazon has absolutely everything you need I searched and found this. I like to buy clear vases at the Dollar Store to make arrangements for friends and this adds a custom look like a flower shop. You can cut to customize your vase and it’s reusable. I love buying flowers at the market and when I put them in the vase this adds a great touch. The water doesn’t break it down and I just let it air dry. This would look beautiful for any arrangements and occasion.

Nice & wide so you can line a planter, or anything else with it. Because of width, you can cut it down if needed allowing a better valve for your money. Strong, yet flexible. I used it to line a clear planter that looked like a book. Very easy to work with.

Overall, this product is awesome! It tears nicely (like real coconut leaves), which is something I hoped for, and it is a beautiful product, visually! The reason for 4 stars is because it is a flimsier and more slippery than I had anticipated. My reason for purchasing this product was to make CHamoru/Chamorro woven items (guihan, puti'on, paluma, katupat, etc). They turned out beautifully, but I had to be more gentle and use tape to keep them together due to the nature of the ribbon. While this is a viable substitute for coconut leaves, just know that you will have to be more gentle and may have to use tape to finish your woven items as it will slip out. Also, be careful while tightening your woven items as you may crease the ribbon or tighten so much that you ruin your work. So, if you're living away from the islands and don't want to pay $50+ for real coconut leaves that may be damaged, dry, or unusable, definitely give this a try!
