This works great and is a solid unit I would like the ability to lower the volume or disable the beep all together. I put some foam on the buzzer on the back of the unit it is still pretty loud for a residential install.It's all sealed up, seems very waterproof and ready for decades of service.

I coupled this reader with a magnetic access system. For my application the reader which came with the magnetic system wasn't adequate. This reader is so strong that it can read through 3/4" of plywood. It continues to work flawlessly. Depending on the application i would strongly recommend purchasing.

Great little 125khz reader, not bad looking either and works without failure as compared to some other EM compatible card readers on Amazon
