The very first hook broke while installing. We used another brand.

I used them to hang flags vertically on my front porch. No Probllems.

The hooks were junk and many of them just snapped as the handyman who was trying to use them to hang lights on my back patio was trying to screw them in. (I purchased some smaller ones from another source, and they worked just fine). Then I return them the next day or day after I had received them, and LEE House claims they didn't receive them. I would definitely re-think purchasing these hooks. They might be "windproof", but they won't work in a fairly soft wood.

When I received the white paint was chipped off from all 15 hooks.Did not use any of them! Would not recommend

Like the size of these hooks! On installation, two out of 12 installed hooks broke between the threaded part and the hook. So they are not strong enough to screw into harder wood even with pre-drilling. i was putting them into the underside of a cabinet to act as cup hooks for wide handled coffee cups. The fact that they broke and then of course the metal screw part is stuck in the hole needed for even placement. Probably would not matter if you are using them for outdoor applications like holding light strings where moving placement a half inch won’t matter. I would order them again based on the wider hook (which I could not find elsewhere) but maybe make a larger predrilled hole nased on this experience.

The description says “quality metal” but it isn’t. I was installing these underneath the cabinet to hold cups. I drilled pilot holes. I was only installing 8 cup hooks and 6 of the initial 8 broke and had to use pliers to retrieve the threaded part from the wood. I gave up and bought another brand.

Nicely holds our souvenir mugs to the ceiling, out of the way, but easy access.
