awesome phone
Awesome phone, had one of these, got the nexus 6, then sold the n5. After using n6 for 3 weeks, I began to miss the one handed use which the n5's form factor was good for. So I found a near mint condition n5 here on amazon and purchased it from "chaotic solutions" seller. Seller is probably one of the best to deal with, responded to each and every question in good detail, even the in 5 different cases, original box with accessories, and 3 screen protectors. Overall, I find the n5 colors, especially whites, to be more color accurate than n6. The only two or three I wish the n5 had, after using the n6, are bigger battery (3000 mag at minimum), front facing stereo speakers, and double tap to wake out of the box or with a simple so install without having to dive into terminal to flash these things. Another alternative if you want an in between device with awesome battery, louder speakers, slightly bigger display (but still ips), and stock android experience, one plus one is a good choice, just a bit risky, since their customer support is nonexistent and not all devices are defect free, but the price is excellent.

Amazing phone.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Cheap workhorse. Amazing screen, amazing hardware, and good feel and heft. Exactly what I was looking for. Battery life kinda sucks for those who actually talk on the phone for hours but everything else makes up for it.

front camera didn't work and I had to return this unit back
The phone is fine, unfortunately the front camera in the unit I got didn't work and I had to return it back. Eventually I'm going to buy this phone and what I wanted is just to exchange it, but the only option, for some reason, was to return it, not to exchange, so now I have to wait for the refund and order it again, not a very convenient way to fix the problem

Phone cost me half its price in repairs in only one year from purchase. Terrible!
I am deeply disappointed in this product. I've had it for a year and it has already cost me $180 in repairs -- half its value. As soon as I received it, the battery was not working sufficiently. I was left without a phone during my trip in Brasil. When I came back, the company paid to repair my battery. Just three months later, the power button stopped working. I had to pay $65 to replace it. And today, a year later, the screen's digitiser stopped working -- so my screen is unresponsive and I need to pay another 150. This is a huge disappointment and a disgrace.

not what i payed for
first off if your going to sell a phone as a 32gb make sure its not a 16gb second the charger is not the right ampage to charge the phone i got a motorola charger with mine so after spending 15 dollars on a new charger i guess its worth 1 star i got the phone for my husband because he was interested in android development custom os and all that so again check the specs on your product and it came with two cases one already installed thats worth a second star so the total is 2 stars for a phone that should have been 32gb and have a charger that works the seller is named cascar wh is doing the false advertising

Great phone, but buggy.
Great phone. However, it is not the best it could be. You will not be able to USB tether with T-mobile, as somehow the phone let's the network know tethering is active and T-mobile will block you (i.e. it is to no avail changing your browser's user agent on your laptop). Also, I find the automatic "detection if your phone is next to your ear" really buggy. At times I have inadvertently hanged up a call after putting the phone back to my hear by touching the screen with my earlobe but I have also been unable to use the keypad during a call as everytime my finger would get close to the screen to press the number "1" the phone would turn off the screen (probably thinking it was my earlobe). My last complain relates to the use of hangout as the default SMS application. Hangout is horribly buggy and unreliable. I don't see why it is being pushed so much. For some reasons if you are having a video call using hangout on the phone, you cannot turn the volume off, even if you use earphones. Somehow this phone tries a bit too much to know what it is best for you, failing catastrophically in the process. There is always hope that Google might fix this issues with a software update.

My friend's review: The best smartphone Ever!
I must say I got this phone for a friend so I haven't lived the entire experience of using and having it (besides of some times when she lends her nexus to me). The first and most important fact is that its factory unlocked, I live in Mexico and the only carrier that currently sells this phone is Telcel. She was going to upgrade her phone to a newer one but she didn't want to spend a lot in a new one or get another 2 year contract with Telcel, as another carrier offers a lot more features for a much lower price and no contract she decided to get an unlocked phone. She did like the color, actually at first sight was 'too red' so be warned, its not as pictured, its should be described more like fluorescent red not just red. The phone its very light (less than 150gr) but the only downside I see about it is that its a bit fragile! She dropped it once from a moderate distance (maybe a meter or so) and screen wasn't damaged at all, not even a scuff but the body cracked a bit on the sides so the phone now looks a bit ugly. I strongly suggest you to get a case (got it but was too late) As for the phone features itself I must say its amazing for the price! It develops very nice with any app, she has installed some apps that usually require a decent hardware and I'm sure it does accomplish to run them neatly as possible. I have an iphone 5 and I must say the nexus leaves my iphone a lot behind! As for the internal memory It would be very nice as an upgrade for the next Nexus to add another version with a 64gb capacity or to add a memory expansion slot! I am looking forward to get one if this for myself!
