Great heavy chunking rod
Have mine paired with a Penn 16vsx. Great rod for fishing on the rail with 80# line and 26# drag at strike and 40# at full.

Amazing
Number one, it's okuma, so its going to be an amazing rod. Majority of my rods are now okuma. I did a very thorough inspection, and I can tell this rod is build to fight and last. Guide spacing is perfect, the guides are super strong, the flex on the rod will definitely keep me from tiring out. At the best part it wasn't crazy expensive! Lucky I did find it on sale for 49% off. But I am buying more in heavier weight ranges as well. Already love this rod.

Bad packaging
They say you’re more likely to write a bad review over a good one. So here’s my bad one. The rod actually arrived well and it looks amazing. My gripe is with the packaging. I received it only wrapped in a plastic bag. Shouldn’t it have been shipped in a long box or tube? At least that way it would be some what protected. UPS did an amazing job with delivering the rod in an excellent condition. Who ever shipped it needs to rethink their packaging methods.

I now have 4 Okuma rods as they are great. Same quality as rods that are more than double these prices.

Arrived packed in only a plastic bag and broken in half.

I build rods for a hobby and was running out of time before I went blue fin fishing. I bought this and when I finally finished my rail rod I like this one better!
