The bag took a bit of time to work out the best way to use it, there aren't any instructions on where to tuck the straps in while cycling / where to connect them when using it as a backpack. Once that was sorted, it's easy to use. The bag has a foldover & zip lock, and then you can buckle the sides down to stop it flapping around. It fits the back of the bike perfectly and is a good size to not get in the way. The bag is secure on the pannier rack, for extra safety it has a locking tab to hold it in place. Inside there's plenty of space, it held my laptop, a change of clothes, bike lock and other things without issue. It's not the most practical backpack but is a good hybrid, especially for the price. I've not used it in the rain yet, but it does have a waterproof cover tucked away in a pocket.

This is a well made product. I read the comments before I bought but must say i have had no problems. Used for 2 weeks now. Rain, shine and windy conditions. All ok. Zips where said to be an issue. So i have rubbed a bit of wax on them and no problems. Stiff at first. Space wise good. Uniform and shoes one side, lunch, coat and bike kit in other as I have 2. Plenty of room to expand. Pockets for my keys and phone inside. Big enough for laptop but due to vibration on bike, I wouldn't use this for transporting it. Easy to fold over and clip closed with the expanders. As you can see in the pictures, fits a square frame as well if you take the gray insert out. These do move left and right to help fit on bike. Pull handle to unclip. Very easy. Secure at bottom with the moving rotating arm. In all perfect for what I need. Helps with visabilty as well with the yellow. Wipe clean.

Let's get this out of the way from the start -- when I bought this, I thought I was getting a pair of panniers. I mean, who would want a single pannier? It never even occurred to me that anybody would sell panniers singly. That makes as much sense to me as selling half a pair of trousers. So my review is kind of tainted by the fact that I'm going to have to spend twice as much money as I thought. A pair of these panniers would be great value, if sold for the price I paid for one. For twice that price, I'm not entirely convinced. Leaving aside the price, it's a splendid item. The material is a kind of heavy, rubberised plastic, that looks like it will be robust and waterproof. I haven't tried it in a downpour yet, but I can't see any place the bag would let water in, if it's closed properly. The capacity is remarkable, although I think it would be hard to use the full capacity if you needed the pannier to be waterproof -- it would be difficult to fold the top over enough times to create a proper seal. The pannier clips easily and securely onto my rack. There are three, rigid points of attachment, all adjustable, so it doesn't move at all when in place. However, the lower attachment point is on an vertical strut of my rack, not a horizontal one. This means that the assembly relies entirely on the top clips to prevent the whole thing bouncing off when riding over bumps. I don't think it will come off -- it hasn't so far -- but for security I prefer the attachment arrangement of my old panniers, which have a clip near the rear axle that completely prevents the bag moving upwards. An interesting touch is that there is a cable that allows both the top clips to be opened at the same time, rather than one with each hand. I don't really understand what this is for, unless it's to allow the pannier to be removed one-handed. I can't think of any circumstances in which I would need to do that, but I can see why some people might. Or maybe this one-handed release is for some other purpose, that I haven't fathomed yet. All the clips are large, and would be easy to operate with gloved hands in the cold. At the bottom of the bag is a little flap labeled "light clip". I can see how it would be easy to clip a rear light on there, and why that would be convenient. However, every rear light I've ever used would end up facing to the side, not the rear, if clipped into that location. So I can't think of any use for it. There's an external zipped pocket which can be opened when the main bag is closed, and I can certainly think of uses for that. A shoulder strap is included, and it seems to be soundly constructed, although I haven't used it. All in all, this is probably the best pannier I've ever used, despite the slight flaws. It's just, way, way too expensive. There are plenty of pairs of panniers for sale, on Amazon and elsewhere, no more expensive than this single pannier. The fact that it's easy to remove is no doubt an advantage if you think of it as a kind of bicycle-mounted rucksack, and plan to carry it about. However, if you plan to leave it installed all the time, panniers this expensive would be a great loss if they were stolen, and stealing them would be easy unless they were somehow chained down. If I needed to carry a laptop computer and a sandwich to work, I can really see this pannier being a good choice for using like a rucksack. For permanent installation, though, it's just too expensive and too steal-able to be a compelling purchase.

Wow! These pannier bags from Rhinowalk are the BEST I have ever owned! From the reviews I was expecting a nice set of bags (I bought a pair of them). However, from everything I see, these bags are topnotch from top to bottom in every way! I bought the Rhinowalk waterproof panniers for a couple different uses. My first and primary use was to commute to and from work. I live about fifteen miles from work and I knew that I wanted high quality panniers that were waterproof for my commute; just in case I got caught in the rain. I bring my MacBook Pro (laptop) to and from work each day and need to know that it will be dry and safe during my commute. I also wanted waterproof panniers so that I could have dry clothes to change into. My second use for the Rhinowalk waterproof panniers was to keep my gear dry on bike campouts. I have yet to use the bags for this purpose, however, after owning them and testing them, I know they are up to the challenge! Let the adventures begin! I am so impressed with these bags that I plan to purchase another set so that my wife has a set for our adventures! Here is a more objective review: • The bags arrive very quickly! Each of these activities requires a fair amount of gear. I want to enjoy myself while doing all of these activities and that generally means I want high quality gear; this is generally very expensive! I own several waterproof bags; many of which cost well over $250 each! The Rhinowalk waterproof panniers the deal of a century! They are top quality, yet very affordable! I own many different waterproof bags; each for the different activities I listed above. I bought those bags from the largest, most reputable manufactures and I have been very pleased with the quality and durability of those bags. All of the seams are sealed and waterproof. • Roomy! The panniers have one large pocket that could either be used for large volume storage or could be segregated with dividers to carry several smaller items. • Solid construction: the straps and buckles are of superior quality. The buckles fit together perfectly and securely. • Safety oriented: Rhinowalk has placed highly reflective material on the front and back of each pannier. These are perfectly placed to grab the attention of any vehicle that you meet or comes up behind you on the road. The buckles for the strap coming over the top are brightly colored as is the zipper and a small square on the front. • Convenient: The front of the pannier has a small zippered pocket that is very convenient for small valuable items that you wish to quickly access! Additionally, I love the shoulder strap that comes with each pannier. After you arrive at your destination, simply attach the shoulder strap and off you go on your adventures for the day! • Waterproof: In addition to the high quality waterproof material that the panniers are constructed from, the panniers close by rolling the top of the panniers and then buckling them down. This is a tried and true closure technique use by waterproof bags the world-over! It is very reliable. I have not had the opportunity to ride in the rain with these panniers. However, before trusting my $3,000 laptop to ride in the rain, I tested each of these panniers by filling them with paper and then continually running water from my garden hose on the bag for several minutes. Not a drop of water got inside! I love these panniers! As I said, I plan to buy another set of Rhinowalk panniers (and other Rhinowalk products) for my wife to use! La alforja está muy bien, bonita y bien de precio pero yo la tuve que devolver porque no servía para mi rack trasero de mi bicicleta Specialized. Los ganchos no abren lo suficiente para poder sujetar la alforja debidamente. Hay otro modelo también de Rhinowalk un poco mayor y más caro que si encaja a la perfección aunque no existe en color rojo.
