The Only One You Need !
This product is absolutely perfect for my needs. It beeps when itโs done dechlorinating and it takes less than 10 minutes. Super quick and to temperature! I got the smallest capacity and it still provides enough hot water for at least 4 people. Excellent safety design. The swivel makes it easier to fill. Note the sheet for safety precautions! Perfect ramen. Perfect drinkable instant coffee.

Great convenience
Bought this to replace a smaller Tiger unit which had peeling inside liner tank. Another family member unfortunately tossed the whole thing before I could examine it and assess all options. I was also unable to confirm that the unit was not possible to save or that the liner was truly failing. The old unit was still functioning, it was just a concern that the inside liner could be sloughing off chemicals into the water. Due to the excellent function of the older unit, I chose to replace with basically the same thing, just the larger (Mid size) unit. It is pretty much all the same; great quality, function, and convenience. Still happy with the Tiger brand and its high points, for now. Great for hot water on demand with power savings function overnight.

Quality Product, Highly recommended
Our Roseville water heater died after about 7 years of service. I researched heavily before deciding on this Tiger 5L unit. Been using it a few weeks, here are my notes: Pros: (1) Came in perfect, brand new condition (2) a REAL, DETAILED paper booklet User manual is included - in PERFECT ENGLISH (have not seen this in awhile, and I really do appreciate that!) (3) Heats water fast and holds lots of water (4) Stays clean inside (so far) Cons: (1) Splashes some water when dispensing. Wish the DISPENSE button was on the left side. (2) Magnetic Plug falls out by accident sometimes (then my water's not hot when needed). (3) For me, 194F is not hot enough for my coffee, and 208F is too hot. Wish it fell in between. Still, this is a top quality unit that I expect to last me for at least 5 years and it deserves 5 stars right now. If you are researching for hours like I did, you can stop now and just get this one, you will be satisfied. In the event I have issues, I will try to come back and edit this review.

Best water heater Tiger!
Dear Tiger, My mom had the Zijorushi(not sure if I spelled it correctly) water heater and I needed something to heat up my water that I use for my Tazo bagged tea. This thing is built like a tank and has a large capacity. My wife and I were using a 1L Mr. coffee water heater before for tea but it was small and after 2 or 3 pours, we had to refill the tank. The Mr. Coffee heater broke after being used for a number of years so we decided to upgrade. This water heater is 5L and it is a beast. I originally wanted the white version but the wife did not like the color so she chose the black one. This one. This heats up real quick and it keeps the contents super hot. It has a lock which would prevent children from accidentally pouring the extremely hot water on themselves. The fail-safe is nice to have. You just need to press the unlock button before you hit the pour button. I have no complaints about this unit and I will update my review after a few months of use when I have learned everything about it. Thanks in advance for reading.

Great Water Boiler!
This water boiler is great. For my family, we get a full day's use of it so the 4L size is perfect. We first had the Zojirushi 3L counterpart of this water boiler and we had it for about a week but then decided to get a larger size. We ended up with the Tiger because, at the time, the 4L of the Zojirushi was going to take too long to get here (Like a month, if I remember correctly). Overall, I'm happy with the purchase so here we go. Thinds I like: I like that is has reasonable heating time and that there is a timer that tells you how long it's gonna take till ready! It doesn't have the cute music the Zojirushi has but that's ok. I like the water saving feature because it makes the 208F setting drop down to 203F which is better for coffee. Apart from that, yeah, all the 'standard', common, stuff is great; the swivel bottom, the magnetic plug, declorination, easy to fill, easy to read how much is left, etc. Things I wish could be better: Even though the 'shiny' and large dispense button is nice and easier to use, I don't like that the steam can be bothersome on your hand/fingers if you are dispensing a lot of water. The Zojirushi did not have this problem becuase it's higher up on the panel. Additionally, this one doesn't have a timer function. So with the Zojirushi, I could set it to 8 hours when we went to sleep and it would truly "energy save" and self boil to temp by the time we got up. These are not that big-a-deal for us but they are worth mentioning. Other things to consider if you are looking into the Tiger: It looks like the Zojirushi's strategy to hold larger quantities is to go vertical, the Tiger goes horizontal. So if you have height limitations, this will probably be a better bet. As for me, I had to come up with a little base to be able to put my french press under the Tiger. Finally, the Tiger doens't have the 'cafe drip' mode which basically just dispenses a little slower.

A Quiet Symphony of Steam: The Tiger 5.0L Water Boiler Conducts the Perfect Cup
Out of all the things sitting on counters or tucked inside cabinets, some just do their job without asking for attention. Take kettles - they usually boil water and stay quiet about it. Now and then though, something shows up that doesnโt feel built, but composed. This Japanese model, large and calm in its stance, runs not by noise but rhythm. Five liters of readiness, shaped by even heating, solid metal, and time spent getting details right. Out of the box, motion starts right away. Tiger spent years making water boilers, so their skill shows right away. From a distance, the dark steel surface looks calm - simple by design, built with care, similar to how silence fills a room before piano music begins. Resting where you left it, never loud or flashy, yet impossible to ignore when needed. Then comes the moment water fills it, starting things off like a quiet opening note. Instead of shrieking loudly before going quiet like most kettles, the Tiger PDU-A50U-K keeps humming along. With room for five liters - plenty - it doesnโt stop after making one cup. Think families brewing tea, stirring up coffee, cooking noodles, or filling French presses all day long. Whether it's company dropping by, night owls needing warmth, or slow dawns with soft light, this fits right in. The hum rises low, warmth creeping through liquid till the target arrives. Not cutting out sharp, unlike simpler pots that quit too soon. Rather, staying put - calm, steady - a pool of heat held close, waiting without hurry. A single note held through time might sound it. Water held right makes all the difference. That idea runs deep in music - a strong note means little without follow through. A boiler can think like that too. The Tiger model does not rush things. Instead of one heat level, it offers several choices on purpose. Lighter brews? They need less fire. Green tea shows its best below boiling. Dark leaves and coffee beans want more push, near full boil. Pick what suits your cup. Hold that moment as long as needed. Temperature stays fixed until you decide otherwise. It hums along, steady, waiting. Like a sustained chord, it keeps the feeling alive. Next up comes the dispensing setup, working much like guiding a musical line. The lever moves easily, yet hot water comes out steady and quiet. With the electric pump, it happens just the same - no sudden bursts, never wild. Smoothness takes over here, pouring like something practiced slowly over time. Anyone who has heated water by hand knows how rare this even flow can be. A ritual forms without asking, simply through consistency. Even safety has a role to play among the sounds. A latch keeps things secure, while automatic power cut-off steps in when needed - small details adding up behind the scenes. These unseen choices work without noise, making each moment more reliable simply by being there. Besides all that stands something quiet but vital - ease slips in where effort fades. When the house feels never-ending, watching pots on the stove turns slow and dull. Most kettles ask the same thing all over - pour, heat, empty, start again. But the Tiger PDU-A50U-K skips those tiny routines completely. Forget daily cycles of lifting and filling; just once, refill the tank. After that? Hot water stays ready, quietly there whenever needed. Morning tea. Afternoon coffee. Instant noodles at midnight. Even when things slow down, the beat carries through. A quiet force, always pushing forward. Inside, a protective layer fights scale buildup, keeping flavors clean while making wipe-downs easier. What feels minor today becomes crucial later. Graceful aging defines solid craftsmanship, something Tiger prioritized from day one when shaping this device to last. Does it cost the least to heat water this way? Not really. A concert piano isnโt exactly light on cost when it comes to playing tunes. Every day it works without fuss, steady and exact. A soft hum replaces clatter, making routine feel smooth - almost like a tune you remember even when silence returns. This kettle sits quietly among its louder cousins. Yet it hums with purpose when called upon. Yet just as a perfect soundtrack lifts every scene, it quietly lifts what surrounds it.

Trustworthy and convenient
This hot water boiler and warmer works wonderfully well. The 2nd one I purchase for my friend. The 1st one is still working after 9 years. It's so convenient to have hot water anytime of the day for coffee or tea. I highly recommend this product. I use gallon size spring water for the warmer and cleaning is minimal, there is no calcification. The 5 liter size lasts me for a week for having coffee daily for two plus sometimes for tea. It's perfectly safe to have it on constantly as long as when boiling, there is space for steam to evaporate, don't leave it under the cabinet. I use the hot water for cooking as well and the taste is pleasing, no funny taste.

Japan wins again
We had a Tiger hot water pot for 19 years. This is our new one so we expect pretty much the same durability and usage rate. Given I myself drink a minimum of two cups of jasmine tea daily, I have to have this. The two-hour "it's still hot/warm" function even if you unplug it then plug it back in is genius and saves on electricity. Once again, Japanese quality is #1.
