Can this fit a 12 inch tablet

I believe so! My iPad measures 11 1/2 inches, from bottom left to right top corner. It fits perfectly with a little room to spare! Hope this helps. 😊

How long is the total length of the strap? I can't believe 40 inches is total length, cause that barely fits over one arm, much less cross body.

I'm 5'11" 178 lbs and it is a perfect fit. I will be using it to carry ammo, safety glasses, water bottle a few small tools and extra masks. I still have plenty of room with a comfortable fit around the chest. Its very sturdy and looks to last a long time. I would be the first person to send any item back that was cheaply made and not functional. OHC
