Love the smell of this spray
I got this to try and avoid DEET-containing products. Here are the ingredients (all organic except thyme oil): soybean oil, castor oil, cedarwood oil, peppermint oil, rosemary oil, geranium oil, lemongrass oil, thyme oil, water. Note: it says not for use on cats. I like the smell of this. It smells a bit like pine (not pinesol at all, more like pine needles - it's a natural smell). The good news is my son also likes the smell, which is huge because he is picky when it comes to things I spray on him. The spray comes out as a fine mist and does not need to be rubbed in. It is clear and not oily at all. I am not really sure if it works because I've just been putting it on my kids when they go to preschool (which has a woodsy play area). So far so good. No ticks. However, they have gotten a couple of mosquito bites while using this, so I would say it is not a "universal" bug deterrent. I have been using the mosquito spray from the same company, but honestly I'm not sure if that's a good idea or not (for example, will one spray override the other's properties and make the second one less effective?) Overall, I'd buy this again. I love the smell, it's a good quality bottle (maybe a minor thing to note, but it is really a bummer when these types of bottles break before the product is used up. So far I'd say the bottle is great quality). I will report back if we ever test this in known tick-infested areas. For now, I like it!

Great scent, a little strong if sprayed indoors
I have ticks and chiggers galore, and I inspect beehives about 700 feet away from my house thru a pasture of overgrown forage. I bought this to hope it would reduce the chigger bites I got when I went out to the hives, and can say, it didn't just reduce them, but eliminated them almost completely. Does not take much, and have spent a few hours out in the field with virtually no bites, and absolutely no ticks. Highly recommend this if you go camping, work a farm, have a decent sized yard or have biting insects. It is bee safe since it is basically only a repellent and not a toxin, but it works! Price is quite worth it. Very large bottle since you really only need 1 or two squirts. the sprayer shoots a very fine mist, so it covers quite a bit of area, so use it outside. Smell is really nice, and most of the oils used are also used in bee lures, but it not going to draw bees to you unless there is a flying swarm very near, but the bees would not bother you in that case either. It's a calming scent to them, not an attack

Effective, but super strong scent and spray vs mist: poor coverage/missed spots
Love that this is all natural and it seems to be effective, but the scent is so extreme. Thatโs have to bathe before bed just like with the deet spray. I also think it would be a great addition if this could be put into a spray bottle that uses compression versus aerosol to make it a mist so itโs not squirting out in blobs

It Actually Works!
I have a golden retriever who is a magnet to ticks. She always has her head down smelling plants or grass. I try to walk in areas without vegetation to avoid ticks, but it's not always possible. We are in the peak of our wet season and ticks are everywhere around us. We live win an area with a lot of deer. I would find ticks alive on her head and remove them before they bite. But I am worried I'll miss one and it will get one of us in bed. She is on flea and tick meds, so I am not worried about her. I've been spraying Yaya Tick Ban on her immediately before each walk or hike. I put it on my hands and rub it on her head and under her chin (yes, I wash my hands well after application). I am amazed that she isn't getting ticks. If I forget to apply Tick Ban, she comes home with a tick crawling on her head. Tick Ban seems to wear off fast. I can tell because the smell dissipates. BTW, the smell isn't bad. It's basically essential oils. I am very happy with how it has been working for us.

Great stuff
This stuff is awesome. It doesn't smell bad. Keeps ticks and other bugs away. Every time I woukd mow or work the garden I would get a tick or 2 for the last 5 years. I used this every time this year and not 1 tick and less bug bites.
