My husband is left handed. Will he be able to tie with his left hand or anything?

Since the item designation is C2203-R ("R" is for right handed), I expected to find a C2203-L and did not. What I did do was tie a couple of flies with my C2203-R, reversing it with the fly on the left, it so it becomes an "L" (for left handed). The only thing that was different was one adjustment knob, that is used once the vise is adjusted. When reversed, that knobs is on the "far" side of the vertical shaft. Still not a big deal, by reaching over the top. I talked to a friend who is left handed and he ties right handed since almost all of the demos are done by right handers. Other than that, I don't see it as a problem. It all comes down to what you get used to, and practice at.

What are the base dimensions? Length and width?

5" x 5", I tie some fairly large flies and I've never had a problem with tipping or instability.

How can I order this in the left handed orientation?

It doesn't appear to come in a left handed variation. One of my acquaintances ties right handed anyway because most demos are done that way.
