Nothing really special about it, but not bad either. It's your typical hair color product but a little more expensive than some brands that were just as good.

Good, not allergic to it

I purchased this back in March & finally got around to using it last week. I'm always hesitant using the boxed color at home because I once turned my hair a weird shade of orange from a product I tried. Yikes! I've purchased a few other Garnier hair colorings before, & 1 time I had a good result. Another time it didn't take at all so I thought it was just user error? Anyway, I have some gray coming in, & I was looking for a match to my current hair color that I could use to just cover the area that's gray. I did not want to change my hair color, & thought I'd tried to do it at home to cover the parts that were gray. I have a streak on the one side that is going gray, but not a lot of grays anywhere else. I followed the directions, & used it to do the small area around where my gray is. I did not do my entire head. When it was done- I was ecstatic! It covered my gray, & matched perfectly. The grays were gone, or so I thought. It was good for about 3 days. About 1/2 of my gray reappeared (in the same area that I used the product on). So it appears it washes out & doesn't last.This was super cheap when I bought it (under $3 including the shipping), but a cheap price doesn't do any good if the product doesn't work well. The sample size of conditioner that is included smells nice & makes hair soft. Disappointed that it only covered the gray for a few days. :(

I have used this product for many years now. I have never had an issue u until using this last color. After I rinse I noticed a ton of my hair coming out. There was a complete round bald spot underneath the crown of my hair, I happen to have very thick hair and I can somewhat cover this up. The following Monday I went to the doctor. Which cost my a small fortune for her to test my hair follicles and scalp. The cause was the hair dye. It had bacteria in it and is the reason for this hair loss. There is no way of knowing now if it will grow back. I has since gotten bigger and I am still being treated by my doctor for this. The next step is steroid shots in my scalp. In the meantime I can no longer die my hair or see a hairdresser to get my hair cut etc. I am a new grandmother and my granddaughter is being baptized on the 22 of this month April 2018. So I am stuck with my hair the way it is all because of this product. Never again!
