Salewa Mountain Trainer Gore-TEX Women's Trail Shoes

Once I worked out how the insoles worked they are like walking on clouds. The best walking shoes I've had in a long Time!

Fantastic shoes , build quality is exceptional

I have purchased Salewa MTN Ladies Gortex Trainer for many years now. I was unable to find the exact same ones as I had had before, and these seemed to be the replacements. These shoes are a wider fit that the previous version it also has a different sole pattern and no separate adjustable inner sole anymore. I almost got a blister for the first time in my life and yes, I wear proper Bridgedale socks. These shoes ride up slightly on the heel due to the fit being wider and not so easy to tie on the tongue area. If I had known that the fit was different, I would not have purchased 2 pairs. I am disappointed with this version of the ladies Mtn gortex trainer and have had sore feet and ankles with these shoes. If you are expecting them to be the same as the old version, you may well be disappointed I am.

So... Bought merrells, put them up, something wrong in the right shoe, a mistake, fault in stitching inside left a fold in the fabric on the place of the fourth toe. Send them back. Exchange for a pair of these, much more expensive. The size was 7.5, i ordered 8.5! My actual size is 7-7.5 but always buy a whole size bigger for hiking. These though. Like I'd put my foot in a bag full of gravel, not heavy but so opposite of sock like feel. Not only that, box all damaged, like it was sitting on a bottom of a pile forgotten for years then tossed aroung a few more. Sent back, went to sports direct and bought the adidas terrex gtx. Nine shoes, 5 faulty or too big or too small, the winner the second time saucony! Not happy with amazon nor merrell, asics, salomon or brooks!

The shoe is very hard and there is not much space at the toes on the upper fabric. It will need a lot of breaking in before I would go on a long walk with them However the heel support and overall support is excellent

After much searching for a low-cut hiking shoe, this one fit my very curved, high arched feet the best. My favorite boots of all time are the Salewa women's Alp Trainer Mid hiking shoe (which is really a boot). The Alp Trainer boots run a bit longer and roomier in the toe, which I would have liked in this shoe, but I have just enough room for my long big toes in this shoe. I'd say that this shoe runs true to size, and the Alp Trainer boots run about 1/4 to 1/2 size large. Very supportive, and I'm using the Birkenstock 3/4 Blue Footbed under the insole that comes in the shoe, like I do with all running and hiking boots/shoes as it is the only insole I've found that has a good metatarsal support built in. There is an additional yellow insole for low-volume feet that came with this shoe, but with the Birki footbed I don't need it.

Esta zapatilla es excepcional la suela es lo suficientemente rígida para hacer caminatas de varios días y no notar nada las piedras. Es super cómoda.

J'ai des Salewa tige haute depuis 3 ans, j'ai voulu un modèle "approche" plus léger et tige basse, j'ai choisi celui-ci qui comporte la même semelle intérieure, j'ai acheté la même pointure. Même confort, aucune ampoule avec les chaussures neuves ! Seul bémol, mon pied glisse/tourne un peu en torsion prononcée, mais c'est peut-être dû à la tige basse et semelles rigides, c'est mes premières chaussures de ce type, avant j'avais des semelles plus souples. Pas encore fait d'usage éboulis journée entière, avec pieds qui peuvent gonfler, là je pense qu'ils auront juste la place qu'il faut !
