This is an absolutely wonderful product, and I will buy again and again. Glycolic acid helps any skin type by gently exfoliating the dead skin and revealing a softer, glowing texture. It will help acne skin by turning over the skin cells quicker. Glycolic is a simple ingredient that is the same whether you pay $10 or $100. If you can find a low cost version, it is a god send. There’s no need to spend hundreds of dollars. But some so-called glycolic products don’t have enough of the active ingredient to do anything. So it’s a waste of money and time. But this one is an excellent version of the product, and I highly recommend. I have been using generic glycolic for years and I am told my skin looks 20+ years younger than my age. Even my dermatologist says she is shocked at my skin appearance, and asked what I do — as if I’m following some fancy regiment. When I tell her and others that I simply use generic 8% glycolic they are a bit shocked. People will often ask me where to find it. I’ve always bought a generic cream at CVS or Walgreens and wear it at night. But I MUCH prefer a light serum like this product. When I found this one, tried it and absolutely love it. It is not sticky and won’t get on your pillow or your hair. This helps if you don’t want to wash your hair every morning. It’s really perfect and I can’t say enough good things. Last comment is my big tip: the best way you can tell if a glycolic cream or serum has the right percentage of active ingredient (over 8%) is to put a little on the top of your hand and then...lick it. That’s right! Lick it. If it has a slightly sweet and noticeably “tart” flavor — there is the right amount of glycolic. If it tastes bland or just like lotion — there’s not enough glycolic. This is a trick I read 20 years ago in a great skin care book by an expert on anti-aging. And it works every time. The products you will find at TJ Maxx sometimes have the right amount, and sometimes don’t. Most of the time they don’t because I have done the lick test! When you can taste a sweet and tart flavor — you know for sure it has enough of the product to help exfoliate the skin. The active product is made from fruit sugar, that’s why you’ll notice a tart flavor. And this product has it, so it will be effective. Hope this helps. I like it. You have to use it at night.Stay out of the sun. Definitely helped with age spots.

Prefer these to the glycolic pads. Seems lighter and easier to use every night. Skin looks so much better brighter and smoother. Paired with niacinamide and retinol serum.

I mix one or two drops into my morning moisturizer and apply all over face and neck. No irritation.

I tested the product's acidity before use (15% glycolic acid should show slight frosting). The result of PH7 means that it hardly contains any acid, so don't expect any dramatic peeling. Not sure why this producer does that, but it is impossible to get a straight answer from them how much of glycolic acid this product contains. They say "that 15% of the product is AHA; and most of the AHA is glycolic acid". How much is "most"? Unless the quality is uncontrollable, the producer should really know how much glycolic acid they put in the product. It is actually a surprisingly good product, reduces the fine lines SIGNIFICANTLY. Just the weird "smoke and mirrors" marketing around the content of the product makes me think something is not right. I get it, for marketing you need to fudge the story, but people who use glycolic acid know what to read from the label. It is a very good product, just be honest and open about the content and you will win the glycolic acid heavy-users.

Im 45 years old. I started to see results within days of using this product. My skin looked clearer, more even toned and firmer. It stings sometimes, especially if I’ve exfoliated or had dermaplaning, but it’s minimal. I have normal to dry skin and haven’t experienced any redness, dryness or irritation. After a couple of weeks of use, I started using it twice daily. I am very pleased with the results over time—by the end of my first bottle my skin is bright, clear and firm, and the fine lines near my eyes are gone. Most days I can go without using foundation at all, just a little concealer around my eyes and nose. Will definitely be purchasing again.

I love everything from this brand. The products work so well and aren’t too expensive, they have videos to use everything correctly and my old lady skin is now soft as a baby’s butt!

Ok, I've only used this 3 times in the last 2 days, I am 56 and I have to say Im slightly shocked and delighted at the smoothing effect on my face and neck and the almost instantaneous reduction of crepe lines ,I don't know how often you should use it but I am immediately impressed. I apply a moisturiser over it after its dried to maximise. *Update, a week later, my skin feels like silk and is visibly smoother particularly near the eye and cheek area, i cannot remember the last time my face felt that smooth, I put mine on twice a day and leave on, i have not had any side effects at all, eventually i will take breaks from it but i am really pleased with this item.

I hadn't used glycolic acid before, wasn't too sure about it, but it works beautifully, my skin really likes it, been using it every day after hyaluronic acid, but before oils or lotions. I'm a bargain hunter and this was the best price for the amount I could find as well. 5 stars!
