I've read reviews on this and like products and wasn't real sure what I would get. Well a project came up and I needed to use these. I popped it into the drill and applied light pressure and it did a great job. I deburred 1/4 bolts which bottomed out, so this would be really the smallest size. But it did exactly what it said it would do. I only did 8 grade 5 bolts so I don't know if they would cut grade 8 or stainless or how many times you could use it. But for the cost I'll just buy another set when they get dull.

I use this to clean threaded rod after I cut to size. Quick and easy to use. Extra handy when I need to clean the threads on a threaded rod already hanging in the ceiling. See attached photo of a 3/8 threaded rod. Great addition to your tool set that won't take up much space

The product description says, "Fitment Bolt Tube Size：1/8” bolts (.164) up to 5/8” (.750) / (4mm -17mm)." This is WRONG. The tool works great, but it won't chamfer smaller than 5/16-20 or 8mm threads. DON'T BUY THIS if you need to chamfer 1/4-20 (6mm) or smaller bolts. Post Script - I noticed that I could take my Dremel (tm) rotary tool, with a thin abrasive wheel and cut the slots deeper. This worked superbly! I won't bother telling you how I did it because if you are smart enough to own a Dremel, you're smart enough to figure it out. I can now easily chamfer 1/4-20 NC bolts. I'm raising my stars from two to four. (Not five, because the seller should never have advertised 1/8" bolts (.164)) Post-Post script - I just finished a major project and this tool was amazing. It saved so much time! I had bought (100) of 1/4-20 fully threaded bolts and (100) or 5/16-18 also. I had to cut down many of them to various lengths. This tool saved me a lot of time and it was easier to get a good thread. I wish I had known of this decades ago.

Bought these to trim down 10 ¾" bolts I'd driven into a concrete floor to hold a 2 post lift up. They took a lot of pounding and when done were quite rounded over. 1 of these cutters easily trimmed the burrs and pounded over end off all 10 bolts. A Great buy!!

Very easy to use for the cost of this product I would recommend. Don't hesitate to buy it. You won't regret it, you'll love it. A must have.

tried this on some grade 8 bolts that i needed to shorten and clean the ends up on. didnt even faze the bolt end. prolly work with wood or a soft metal like aluminum or lead.
