The Bird Buffet That Turned My Yard Into Times Square
I never thought Iโd become โthat personโโyou know, the one who buys bird food in bulk and starts identifying cardinals by name like theyโre part of the family. Yet here I am, with a 20-pound bag of Wagnerโs Wild Bird Food and a yard that now resembles a feathery version of Grand Central Station at rush hour. Let me tell you: this stuff is basically five-star dining for birds. โธป The Delivery When the 20-pound bag arrived, I thought, โThis is too much bird food. Thereโs no way Iโll get through it.โ Oh, how naive I was. I scooped some into the feeder, set it outside, and within ten minutes, my backyard transformed into the avian equivalent of a Las Vegas buffet. Birds Iโd never seen before suddenly appeared. Sparrows, finches, cardinals, blue jaysโbasically every feathered creature within a five-mile radius got the memo. I half-expected an eagle to swoop down with a reservation slip. โธป The Bird Reactions I imagine the conversation among the birds went something like this: โข Cardinal #1: โHey, whereโd you get the fresh seeds?โ โข Cardinal #2: โWagnerโs, baby. Only the best.โ โข Blue Jay: โStep aside, peasants. Iโm here for the sunflower seeds.โ โข Tiny Sparrow: [drowned out by chaos] The feeding frenzy was so intense that I started considering whether I needed to put out numbered tickets like a deli counter. โธป Quality The seed itself looksโฆ well, like bird food. But the birds know. You canโt fool them. Iโve put out generic bargain-bin seed before, and the birds treated it like an awkward salad at a potluckโpicked at it, looked around disappointed, then flew off to my neighborโs house. With Wagnerโs? Clean bowls every time. They eat it like itโs their last meal on earth. Even the squirrels are impressed, which, admittedly, is not a plus. Iโve seen one squirrel make off with a literal handful, looking smug, like he just robbed Fort Knox. โธป The Chaos Hereโs the thing no one tells you: once you put out Wagnerโs, you no longer control your backyard. The birds do. Morning coffee on the porch? Forget it. The second you step outside, they stare at you like a mob boss demanding tribute. I once dared to let the feeder run empty for a day. Big mistake. The birds assembled on the fence in a perfectly organized row, glaring at me like tiny feathered debt collectors. Iโm 90% sure one crow tapped a wing against its throat in a โpay upโ gesture. โธป The Unexpected Side Effects 1. Free Entertainment: Netflix? Overrated. Watching a woodpecker try to squeeze onto a feeder built for finches? Priceless. 2. New Alarm Clock: Birds donโt care about weekends. They will sing the โfeed meโ song at 6:30 AM sharp. 3. Neighborhood Fame: My neighbor asked why all the birds hang out in my yard now. I told him I run the hottest bird bistro in town. He hasnโt spoken to me since. โธป The Weight of Responsibility Buying 20 pounds of bird food is like signing a long-term contract. Youโre not just feeding birdsโyouโre becoming part of their daily routine. If you think you can just โstop anytime,โ think again. Birds are creatures of habit, and Wagnerโs turns them into loyal, demanding customers. One chickadee actually followed me to my car one morning, as if to say, โHey, donโt forget to refill the feeder before you leave, pal.โ โธป Price vs. Value Yes, itโs a big bag. Yes, it feels like overkill at first. But once you see the joy of a cardinal strutting around like it owns the place, youโll realize itโs worth every penny. Plus, youโll feel like a benevolent monarch, graciously providing sustenance to your tiny winged subjects. And honestly? Compared to other hobbies, itโs cheap. Golf costs more. Streaming services cost more. Therapy costs more. Watching chickadees fight over sunflower seeds while you sip coffee? Thatโs therapy you get for free with every scoop. โธป The Lemon Test Okay, this product doesnโt actually smell like lemons (looking at you, dishwasher cleaner), but I conducted my own test: left the feeder out for 48 hours with Wagnerโs vs. a feeder with cheap seed. Result? The bargain feeder was untouched, like a sad buffet of wilted lettuce. The Wagnerโs feeder was picked so clean I could practically see my reflection in the bottom. Case closed. โธป Final Verdict Wagnerโs Wild Bird Food doesnโt just feed birds. It summons them. It turns your backyard into a feathery social club where everyoneโs invitedโexcept you, because youโre just the staff now. Itโs high-quality, lasts a surprisingly long time (unless the squirrels unionize), and makes you feel like Snow White, if Snow White also had to clean sunflower shells off the porch every day. โธป Final Score: โญโญโญโญโญ (5 stars) โข Quality: Excellent. โข Bird Approval: Unanimous. โข Squirrel Approval: Unfortunately, also unanimous. โข Human Entertainment Value: Off the charts. โข Downside: You now work for the birds.

Birds love this as must as I love the price
After we switched to the wagoners farmers delight wild bird food we have many more colorful song birds. Being injured it has brought much beauty to enjoy while recovering. An added bonus while feeding and enjoying the colorful birds at the feeder the ground eating birds clean up the ground so majority of what we pay for is enjoyed by all types of birds. And the 20# bag is very economical.

Birds love it. I just wish there was more big seeds and less of the tiny filler seeds. The animals just throw those all over the porch.

Comes with lots of black bugs
Didnโt notice at first but stored it in my back room and now have tiny bugs all around in the room and evening flying around and landing on me everyday and always see stupid little Beatles flying front me when watching Tv and I go after to kill them and craw on me when sitting in my couch , killed a lot of them that landed on me , kinda look like carpet Beatles and even rice Beatles running out of it, 2 types ,I learn not store it in the house going have store in garage from now on, picture are the Beatles killed today, purchase Jan 24th 2024, update April 7 th still killing Beatles all around house today, least a dozen each day, upgraded it to 5 stars to warn people so donโt happen to your home. If want this seed store it outside in a container to prevent this happening to your home, the seed itself is good and birds love it but the bugs sucks, 4/16 update new vedio posted bugs caught today in house, I keep them alive and put in little plastic bag to show a pest control guy to get rid them out of house, make sure you keep outside and in a seal container to be safe, sure not all bags have them but donโt want get unlucky like me, just a friendly warning donโt want you go though this

Mediocre mix
I am giving this rating a three star. Overall, birdseed appears clean and plentiful but every time I go to fill the feeder, there is a certain product in this mixture that the birds refuse to eat. I simply poured it out on the grass and I feel that this is just wasteful. I would rather pay more money and have my feeders cleaned out then again and again, have a little round seeds left that no birds wants to eat.

From Zero to Hero! It's getting gobbled up!
Disappears from the feeder very quickly now. A couple months have gone by since I had this food out in the feeder. I only had one or two birds around (I never had a feeder or anything like that). At first I didn't think it was good feed, but I guess it took them a while to find the feeder. Over two months it only went down by half. In the past week the amount of food in my feeder dropped by a quarter!! and is steadily and noticeably going down! The tree this food is hanging in always has a bunch of birds in it. I have a "Squirrel Buster Plus Green - Part #: 1024", which also works really well. Great feed. I spilled some on the side walk by accident putting the feed bag away and it was gone the next day. Every piece. This review is coming from the Northern West part of Canada, in case people need to know the kinds of birds. I have no clue what types are out there perched, chowing down. Chicka-dee's and finches, maybe? I dunno. I'm not an enough of a bird person to know, but it's nice having them around.
