Fuyu-syogun, Highly Recommend!
I got the fuyu- syogun color. The ink is very pigmented and writes beautifully. (I got it on my hand and it won’t come off right away! Try not to get it on your hand). It’s like lighter side of charcoal gray color, almost like a pencil. Dries pretty quick so it doesn’t smudge too much ( and I write with my left hand!) **See picture for color sample** The bottle of the ink is very beautiful and it’s a good size. The opening is big enough to dip your fountain pen in to draw up the ink. I used Pilot Con-70N converter in Pilot Kakuno fountain pen. I would recommend this ink to everyone who likes gray shade colors.

Deep Sea Elegance: A Daily Essential
The PILOT Iroshizuku Shin-Kai is an exceptional ink that easily stands out as a top-tier choice for daily writing. The "Deep Sea" blue-black shade strikes a flawless balance—it is vibrant and complex enough to make writing genuinely enjoyable, yet perfectly understated and professional for everyday office tasks, notes, and official documents. I use this ink daily paired with a Platinum Preppy fountain pen and a converter, and the combination is fantastic. The flow is remarkably smooth, well-behaved, and consistent, handling a variety of paper types without issue. This pairing has become so reliable that I carry this pen with me everywhere I go. I fully intend to purchase more of the Shin-Kai ink in the future; it has permanently secured its spot as a staple in my everyday carry.

Beautiful color and smooth ink flow
I really like the rich blue color of Pilot Iroshizuku Tsuki-yo. The ink flows smoothly and consistently in both my TWSBI Eco and Pilot Kakuno. It is a beautiful, reliable ink for everyday writing.

Beautiful bottle and ink
This is my absolute favorite line of ink. I have several bottles. They last for such a long time, the colors are beautiful. Theres such a large range that you're bound to find a color you like. The formula is also really good. It is not too wet or dry, it works beautifully with all my pens. Highly recommend giving this a try. If youre not ready to commit to a full bottle, you could always try samples first. But for myself the bottles because they look so nicely displayed.

Excellent Color - Smooth Flow
High quality ink that flows smoothly. Its bleed resistance is acceptable so writing performance was good. The price makes the product only "okay" in terms of price. Overall this is a great part of my fountain pen exploration.

Perfect “Pencil-Look” Fountain Pen Ink — Soft Graphite Style Without Looking Washed Out
I specifically wanted a fountain pen ink that looked more like graphite or pencil on paper rather than a normal black ink, and Kiri-Same absolutely nails that look. The color is a soft warm gray that stays readable without becoming overly dark or harsh. It has a brighter, cleaner appearance than some darker gray inks, which helps keep handwriting easy to read while still giving that muted pencil-style aesthetic. Like most Pilot Iroshizuku inks, performance is excellent. Flow is smooth, startup has been reliable, and it behaves well across different nib sizes and writing styles without feeling dry or scratchy. It’s also a very versatile color. Works well for journaling, sketch notes, annotations, everyday writing, or artistic use where a softer look is preferred over heavy black ink. For reference, my writing sample/video was done using a Jinhao X159 on cheap dollar-store paper specifically to show how the ink behaves in a more realistic everyday setup rather than premium fountain pen paper. Even there, readability and flow stayed very good. As a left-handed writer, I also paid attention to smudging and dry behavior during normal writing use, and it performed well enough on cheap paper that I was comfortable using it for everyday notes. The 50ml bottle is a good size and should last quite a while unless you write heavily every day, and the glass bottle itself feels premium and easy to fill from. Not the cheapest fountain pen ink out there, but the combination of color quality, smooth performance, and bottle presentation makes the value feel justified if you enjoy specialty inks.

Iroshizuku inks are an interntional standard - Tsuki-Yo no exception
Very well mannered ink with great flow, quick drying, and no tendency to smudge as some highly saturated boutique inks are prone. This moonlight blue has just a hint of teal when dry - very beautiful, but not out of place in a pure business context. Iroshizuki offers desirable subtle shades of color with the well behaved, unfussy standard performance in most pens one has come to expect from Pilot, Pelikan or Waterman inks. I'd characterize this ink as very "wet" free flowing, but doesn't feather excessively on even cheap copy paper or card stock better suited to ball points. I've tried in several pens ranging from Pelikan m800 XF to m1000 F to m800 M. Definately likes Pelikan F best. XF is thin and Spidery, but that's my general complaint with this nib. Medium is typically my daily go to writer, and it's effortlessly smooth, flows beautifully, but is right at the edge of too broad a line to be neat and legible. I'll load a Namiki - Pilot 742 F next, with expectation this nib will be right in the home row for this ink. Only disappointment was a Namiki Falcon soft-Medium, which left a line so broad to nearly be illegible on most any paper stock. That's not unusual with free flowing inks in this pen, but was worth a trial. This ink will replace Waterman Mysterious Blue in my rotation. Both are similarly well behaved, but moonlight is a warmer, more natural and desirable shade with just a bit freeer flow. Fast shipping and service from Amazon's partner supplier. Bravo. Well done.

Another stellar Iroshizuku ink!
I love Pilot Iroshizuku inks. I specifically wanted Shin-Kai to replicate the discontinued original Lamy Dark Lilac formula. I have Yama-budo, so I needed this one for the formula. The price was excellent, and the ink arrived securely bubble-wrapped in a box. The color dries down lighter than shown on my swatch card. Lovely blue-gray.

Tinta japonesa excelsa

Worth the wait for this hard to find ink!
It took a little while to ship but actual transit time was still within a week! Worth it for an ink that’s been discontinued and is hard to track down. The ink box was well bubble wrapped and arrived in great condition (the ink box wasn’t pristine looking but I did not expect this for an ink discontinued a few years ago). Kosumosu itself is such a stunning ink to draw and write with - it flows nicely in my fountain pen.
