Superior Smart Lighting โ Worth It on Sale
Another Philips Hue review here. Honestly, I only buy openโbox options or wait for Prime Day because the price is steep for my taste. But itโs the ONLY smart lighting system Iโll use. The superiority comes from the Zigbee hub setup. Back when I was using WiโFi bulbs, they constantly searched for a better signalโeven when they already had the best connection. With 50 devices on my ultraโfast 1TB internet, 30 of them were smart bulbs, and the constant chatter bogged everything down. Switching to Hue solved that problem. All the lights connect through a single hub, so my WiโFi is fast again, and the bulbs respond instantly. The color options are excellent, the app is reliable, and the system scales beautifully across the house. Expensive, yesโbut if you care about performance and stability, Hue is the smart lighting system to trust.

Best Hue Bulb Iโve Tried
I ended up preferring these over the other Hue bulbs I tried because the ultra-low dimming makes a noticeable difference. The biggest reason I bought these was for softer lighting at night, and being able to dim them down to around 0.2% is much nicer for that. They work really well as a night light or for low ambient lighting without feeling too bright. Setup was easy in the Hue app, and like other Philips Hue bulbs, they felt responsive and reliable. The light quality is smooth, the dimming works well, and they integrated without any issues with my smart home setup. For regular use they are great, but the real standout feature is how low they can go compared to other bulbs. If you just want a standard smart bulb, there are cheaper options out there. But if you specifically care about very low dimming for bedrooms, hallways, or nighttime lighting, these are definitely the better choice.

Excellent quality, worth it if used or on sale
Are they really expensive? Yes. Do they work exceptionally? Yes. Are they worth how expensive they are? At full price, definitely not. However, if you're getting them used or at a steep discount, 100% worth it. I got mine half off as they were used, and the original packaging was torn but they worked immediately out of the box, no imperfections. Synced up immediately, connected to Google and Siri, and all of the color spectrums worked as expected. I will say that I have an existing Hue Bridge and lights in my house already, so getting everything hooked up was seamless. I'm not sure how adequate these lights are without a hue bridge though and using Bluetooth/Wifi. The bulbs themselves are a bit larger and heavier than your average lightbulb because of their internal components but they fit any standard light socket and you're off to the races. I'd say a solid 4.5 stars with the only knock being the price. But if you're able to snag these used or on sale for Prime Day, Black Friday, etc. I'd recommend it!

Some Of The Best Smart Bulbs On The Market!
Ever since I went to a large electronics retail store near me to get something totally different than these bulbs and saw the Philips Hue demonstrated in concert with what I was looking for, I was hooked on them. I have them throughout my home and have them in my office at work. I have about 30 of them in my house and 10 of them in my office. To say the least, I am more than satisfied with the Philips Hue products. Now the reviewโฆ Philips have been making bulbs for many years and then when they broke into the industry of smart wifi bulbs, they became quite the hit. Pair the hue bulbs with the Hue Bridge and the app, oneโs creative side can really shine. The Build Quality. These bulbs have a little heft to them whereas there is a lot of technology that needs to be crammed into a space the size โฆ well the size of a light bulb. The build quality in my opinion is pretty solid and done well. The illumination part diffuses the LEDs used in these bulbs are very smooth and do not see any hot spots whatsoever from the LEDS inside. The colors produced from the RGB LEDS are pretty rich and vibrant but as in every RGB style bulb, the light output will vary from color to color and different white temperatures. Case in point. If you choose the bulbs to light up in blue, the overall Lumens factor will be less than if you choose to use Yellow or other bright colors of the spectrum. But if you go with the white ambiance aspect, the whites will pretty much be equal in Lumens factor from the lower temperature like 2700K to the higher temperatures like 6500k. Features. These bulbs are full of them when you connect them with the Hue bridge. You can have them turn on and off with the use of Google Home, Assistant or Alexa. You can turn them on or off with the use of the user-friendly app and even turn them on or off when you are out and about as long as you have the app connected to the cloud server set up within your smart home. You can set up various different scenes as long as you have multiple Hue Bulbs. Scenes really donโt look great or seems simplistic if you have just one bulb. To get the best results, I recommend 5 or more of the Hue Bulbs in a room to get the different color scenes to show off well. (Refer to the bedroom pic I posted with this review.) The latest versions of the Hue Bulbs can be operated via Bluetooth on the dedicated Bluetooth version of the Hue app. So, with bulbs having the Bluetooth technology, you do not need to have the Hue Bridge. The downside to that is you will not be able to set up multiple rooms and you can only control 10 Hue Bulbs via Bluetooth vs. up to 50 Hue Bulbs with using the Hue Bridge. If there is anything that would be considered a downfall to these bulbs, is they are a bit on the pricy side. I have a few thousand dollars invested in my Hue Echo System and love everything about these bulbs. That would be the only flaw I can find with them. The Recap. These are some of the top of the line of smart bulbs. Can you find cheaper bulbs as far as costs is concerned? Yes, you can. But the saying goes, โYou get what you pay for.โ And that holds true with these bulbs. If you are willing to invest into the Hue System, you wonโt be disappointed.

Best bulbs if you can get on sale
If you can get these on sale, do it. I've had wifi bulbs and they constantly disconnected for no reason. I wanted Zigby and these are the best out there but also the most overpriced. But you get quality for the cost. They have never lost connection and they turn off with a dimming effect vs just off which I didn't even know was a feature I'd like. They are way too expensive at regular price but if you can get them on sale, you won't regret it. Only 4 stars though just because of how expensive they are

Still the best smart lightning option
Iโve been accumulating these bulbs for the past 10 years. I can say these still mach the color rendering of the first batch. The Hue app has been slowly updated over the years to include some nice features including lighting effects and security features. I will say that it is a bit annoying that the app requires an account and login to use the remote features but that has become the norm with IoT devices. I can say that the color rendering and smoothness of dimming is still superior to most of the less expensive alternatives on Amazon. Once you add in the quality of the control app as well as very good Apple HomeKit integration, the Hue lights and system are still the superior option.

You cant go wrong with Philips Hue
I am a huge fan of Philips Hue light bulbs. They are wicked easy to install and set up with the Hue app. Also, I found it easy to set up with Alexa commands using the Hue Bridge ( which let's you set up many lights on one Bridge). They have great compatibility and a few sizes and makes of other Hie bulbs to use with fixtures throughout your house. The only drawback is occasional flickering, which i chalk up to very regular on/off/dimming on my part.

Easy to set up and work well.
I got roped into the Hue ecosystem a few years back. I was always turned off by the high pricing. I started off with a couple of light bars and a Hue Bloom. The rest is history... I'm now drinking the Philips Hue kool-aid. I now have 4 light bars, 2 Hue Blooms, a Gradient Light strip for a 65" TV, a Hue Sync Box, 3 Hue Lily outdoor lights and 6 A19 smart light bulbs. This review is for the 3 pack of A19 lights only. The good: The lights are easy to set and are reliable. It's easy to create scenes and the lights look nice. The bad or so-so: I now never buy any of the lights for full price. Between Philips website and Amazon and Best Buy, if you keep looking and are patient you can often save up to 25% off retail. That's the time to buy. The A19 lights are plenty bright on white or shades of white. The brightness when using deep colors is mediocre at best. I wish they were brighter when using colors. Again, if you can get these on sale you'll feel better about your purchase. These are addictive.

Very nice lights and very reliable
I've had this model bulb running for many years now...never a failure and work great with the Hue app. They are more expensive than most, but I've been down the 'cheaper' route...never again.
