It’s great for thick curly hair and starting locs. Try on damp or wet healthy hair. Not dry. Breakage possible on dry. One to keep and one to give away.

For those of you who want curly hair get this it’s holes are bigger and curls more a lot more. if you’re a barber you need to get this. Way better than a twist up comb. FYI, if you want it to last longer, make sure you clean it.

Didn't work as well as I hoped. Maybe my hair is of the wrong type or I should've bought one with different sized holes/gaps? Good value for money. Doesn't feel exceptionally durable as the middle part where the blue sandwich is seems to have been glued together, which is fine but i think it shouldn't have been that obvious. Feels a bit too big in my hands (I use a P9P Pro XL, for context)

I just received this yesterday. Before washing my hair and getting all ready and prepped, I was super curious. I used the spiky side on my hair in one, clockwise direction. I couldn’t believe it. A sponge that looks as though you could wash a car with it was giving my hair definition. I was standing in the mirror in disbelief and even laughed a little. I took advice from a co-worker when I told her how my hair just won’t do what it should even though it has texturizer in it that my mom’’s hairdresser put in it. So she told me there’s a hair tool that’s a sponge and it can help with definition. So I went to Amazon like I do for Google when I’m trying to find info, and there this was amongst other brands. I wish I had bought the two pack because I showed my mom a before and an after photo and she was wowed by it. I look scary in the pictures. Only a mom would want to see the photos I took so I’m going to save myself the embarrassment lol. I’m not smiling in either of the two pictures and I look exhausted. If I’m going to show pictures to you all, I want to at least look like I’m happy haha. So just know that it did work for me. What I did was use a Denman brush to brush my hair out. Then I showered and washed my hair with a shampoo and conditioner. I towel dried my hair well enough to where it wasn’t completely dry, but not dripping wet either. I put in a styling creme all throughout my hair and and worked my fingers in. Then used the sponge next. Once it dried pretty good, I put in oil. I love the definition I have now. Glad I made this purchase.

Bought this brush for my 2 younger sons. Works well! The longer you use the brush, the more defined the twists will be. Make sure you twist your hair with your fingers first to see what direction you'll be using with the brush. PLEASE make sure you damp your hair with a little water and moisturizer before using the brush!

First and foremost, the promise of creating defined twists, curls, and locks is a complete exaggeration. Instead of achieving a stylish and uniform look, my hair ended up looking like a chaotic mess. The sponge failed miserably at providing any semblance of order or control, leaving me with a head full of uneven, tangled curls that resembled a bad '80s perm gone wrong. The quality of the sponge itself is questionable at best. After just a few uses, the material started to disintegrate, shedding bits and pieces all over my hair. It's not only messy but also frustrating to deal with, as I had to spend extra time cleaning up the fallout from this poorly constructed tool. Furthermore, the discomfort during use was unbearable. The coarse texture of the sponge felt like it was aggressively ripping through my hair rather than gently styling it. The supposed "magic" of this barber brush turned into a nightmare, causing unnecessary pain and tugging that left my scalp sore and irritated. To add insult to injury, the durability is abysmal. It barely lasted a few days before showing signs of wear and tear, making it clear that this tool is not built to withstand regular use. I expected a product that could at least deliver on its basic promises and withstand some wear. Save yourself the disappointment and invest in a more reliable and well-reviewed hair care tool.

Took ages to arrive. No instructions...lol! I now have the knack out it, which is to rub gently. Not vigorously like I did initially.Great product & works a treat.
