Stopped my tank leak.
I have a well pressure tank that is getting pinholes at the top rim. I ground down the paint, drilled out the pinhole, cleaned the area with alcohol and put J-B Weld 8277 WaterWeld Epoxy Putty Stick in the hole and around the hole. I let it cure for about 12 hours. I turned the water back on and there was a pinhole leak right through the putty. So I ground all of that off, cleaned with alcohol and used this J-B Weld 8217 TankWeld Gas Tank Repair. I let it cure for about 24 hours. So far it's holding; no leaks. This stuff is better because the two parts are different in color so you can see when it's mixed thoroughly where the two parts of the Waterweld putty are near the same color so it's harder to see when it is thoroughly mixed.

works good
After doing lots of research I bought this item about two years ago, only after someone drilled a hole in my fuel tank and stole my gasoline. This item was easy to use, you just grab it and mix it by hand. I would recommend using gloves, and before you place it in place make sure you scuff up the fuel tank to help it bond better. the last one I used lasted two years then fell apart finally, so I just ordered another one and re-patched up the hole. it should last me a while, and it's better than replacing the whole fuel tank. note: the reason for 4 stars vs. 5 is that the first one I bought started to cure way faster and I had to rush to patch the hole. The second one I bought was a lot easier to mix and did not harden that fast but whiting 30 min of applying it, it was hardened and ready to go.

saved me a pile of money
i came to my car (scion xb) one day and there was a huge puddle of gas under it. something must've come up from the road and put a small, pencil-sized hole in the tank (tank is plastic, with fiber mesh reinforcement). had enough fumes to make it to the nearby toyota service center and was told my only solution was a new, $1200 fuel tank. so i had AAA tow it to my house, and had amazon deliver a tube of JB Weld same day for less than $15. next day i was up and running again. it's been a few weeks now and i believe the repair is permanent -- no moisture or indication that the repair won't last. it's as easy to use as you'd hope and seems to work equally well. saved more than $1185, so i couldn't be happier. 2 thumbs way up. UPDATE: failed after about 5 weeks. i was convinced i had a permanent repair after 3 weeks, but my repair started to drip. my gas tank is plastic (2008 scion xb) and the repair is on the bottom. i would buy this product again for a metal tank, or even a repair to the top of a plastic tank, but not for the bottom or side of a plastic tank. bummer. i still give it 5 stars, as the company website warns it does not work on some plastic and i am sure it works well for metal tanks.

Cost effective and functional repair
Drove over a large rock, and punctured a small hole in my 50 gal RV fuel tank. Was planning to have the tank removed, repaired, and replaced at a cost of $700, but decided to use this epoxy to patch and seal the leak. So far its working as advertised. Simple to apply - epoxy is holding with no apparent moisture or leaking. Very cost effective repair.

It kind of works
It’s kind of hard to deal with and I ended up just replacing the fuel pump anyway

Works
Had a hole in my Tomos A35 fuel tank. Size of the hole was around 3mm. After letting it cure for 2 hours and adding fuel to tank, it is not leaking anymore. Update after 2 months: Still holding strong with no leaks

Letzte Rettung ;-)
