I've had a stiff rubber mallet for years that I use for installing auto wheel covers and for setting bricks in walk ways. Would this work or too soft?

The SORBOTHANE hammer(s) would work very well for the wheel covers. I have two, the small and the middle one. They have weight but are very soft and will not mar sheet metal or wood. But for bricks I would stay with the rubber mallet or "Dead Blow" types.
