I think a lot of us get an Over The Counter card with your health insurance, so I got one from the big WM store and it is too small for my lower back and hips, I have been living with Sciatica for way too many years with No help from my Dr. she's too scared to write scripts for any pain killers. So I saw this and I looked at the measurements on the one that I purchased earlier and this is literally 2× larger and I'm absolutely happy with my purchase and I highly recommend it. I just pop it into a pillow case and put it on the area that hurts so darn bad 👎 and I'd definitely would recommend it, I don't freeze it actually no need to freeze, I just take it out of my fridge and it works just as well as frozen, just not as long, but when I hurt I have fallen asleep with it and I don't want to sleep with something frozen like I have before and it will burn your skin especially if you're older as I am (70) and it hurts. Light weight and so simple to use. I love it 😍

Getting this out of the way, we have not experienced any of the odors that other users have complained about. To whatever extent this was an issue at some point in the past, it appears the problem has been resolved within the last year. My wife and I bought the Small and Medium sized packs based on a relative's recommendation and have been extremely happy w/the decision! The packs provide a great, reusable alternative to leak- and condensation-prone ice/ziplock bag solutions when nursing aches over multiple days. These gel packs do not get excessively cold, allowing for more extended cooling in a single sitting versus ice and equivalents that can quickly become painful on certain areas. And more than that, a huge plus for these packs is the combination of their slim design and their ability to contour to whatever part of your body you need to address, allowing you to sit comfortably while "icing" instead of some awkward position to hold it in place. My only knock is that although the chill maintains for a decent amount of time, the coolness does wear off more quickly than many competitors in the price range, but that said, it serves all of our needs so perfectly satisfied with this product!

I got this to use cold on low back pain (since diagnosed as facet join arthritis). The size is very good and can be folded in half to better suit the area to be treated. I find it works really well to fold in half lengthwise. Then when it starts to be less cold (takes awhile), I just reverse that fold and voila, more cold. It seems to get and stay colder than others I have. I keep it in the freezer and it doesn't take long to 'recharge' between uses. It's made of a heavy duty yet pliable material (molds nicely to my back) with bound seams. No extra cover necessary which I particularly like although you shouldn't place next to bare skin. Seems very sturdy and durable. I have a couple of different brands and sizes of ice packs and this is by far my favorite. Have not tried it as a hot pack. I'm very happy with the purchase. Edited to comment on other reviews noting a chemical smell. I do not recall any offensive odor from the product and even if there was one, it's long gone from being stored in the freezer. Still very happy with the product and would buy again.

I have been using this product as a Cold pack for my neck and shoulder pain from the past few weeks. What I liked about this product is that once the pack is frozen well , it really lasts long, so it is very comforting. Would recommend this product.

This is a great ice pack! The covering on it is sewn securely so I don't think it will ever leak. Gets cold fast but the coolness doesn't last the whole night.
