Not really, oak wood has more of a subdued scent and dark amber is more scented with a more aggressive scent.

I love the smell of amber.. problem is I’m a girl, would this be too musky for me?

I don't think it's too musky. I got it for my boyfriend and I like to wear it as well. It does have a cologne-y masculine smell to it and it doesn't have the fruity or floral notes in it that make some amber smell super feminine, but if that's your thing, go for it!
