National Lighting Mother and Child Uplighter Floor Lamp with Reading Light - Satin Chrome Finish Floor Lamps for Living Room R7s/G9 Bulbs (Not Included)

This is a superb example of a Mother & child lamp, great polished Antique brass metal, modern and stylish. It has both a Halogen top light which can fill the room when necessary with a soft brightness and a LED lamp for reading or crafting which I find very useful.

I was tad worried about how cheap this lamp was but was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Illumination is excellent and dimmer feature perfect for my needs. It is ornamental and looks as good as the more expensive examples found in the shops. Instructions are poor for assembly but it still went together quite quickly (inserting bulbs is a little fiddly but easy enough). I bought the 1800mm R7 bulb and it fitted fine. Just a shame it is Halogen and not LED. Had it been more environmentally friendly it would have got 5 stars.

Delighted with the look, build weight and quality of this lamp (black chrome), which I got for £43 on Black Friday prices, absolute bargain. Any other standard lamp I have bought over the years has been £100+. I like this one the best. The instructions were the only fall down, so in end, mostly ignored them and 'common sense-ed' my way through the build. This bit must go here...that bit HAS to be removed or it's never going to fit together... didnt take too long to assemble, maybe 30 mins including the bulbs. The independent operation of mother and baby, with dimmer controls, is brilliant and if you turn them full up, they're extremely bright. Love the unusual, black chrome colour, it looks classy. Tempted to buy another for another room...

This lamp went through bulbs like a child eating candy, as one says. Aside from it's flimsy construction and parts which didn't seamlessly fit together it was a great buy. Just replaced it today. Don't make the same mistake.

Nice light, no guidance to build it, managed that but the top dimmer switch is very stiff. Would return for a replacement, but don't want to build it again :-/

I've had one of these lamps for over 40 years, it finally gave up the ghost so had to have another one. Very easy to assemble. Only thing with this one it doesn't come with Bulbs so you have to buy them seperate. You need a decent bulb shop not your usual bulbs.
