My husband and I purchased a 100 year old fixer upper. We recently pulled up the ugly metal thresholds that were in our kitchen (between the kitchen and the bathroom and the living room and the kitchen) and needed something to go there. I thought about going to the big box home improvement stores but since we live in a rural area I didn't relish the idea of spending 2 hours in the car with 5 kids to get one thing. Thank God for Amazon!I bought two, the price was amazing and they arrived quickly. Took no time at all to install and they were super easy to trim up to the correct size. I bought the lighter color so I could have stained them if I wanted to (I didn't because I'm a little bit lazy). The screws were included and worked great, just a quick buzz with a drill and we were off to the races.Great thresholds for any home! Stain it to match the rest of your woodwork. Even someone without a 'handyperson' bone in their body can install these, no problem.

Pros: Dimensions seem spot-on (with caveat in cons); the wood quality/grain looks pretty good; includes screws.Cons: Both of mine were slightly bowed (one slightly upwards, one slightly downwards), but not so much that screwing them down to the floor didn't straighten them. Humidity is pretty high where I live, so that might be the issue, since they sat around for ~2 weeks before I had time to stain/seal and use them. Definitely not a deal-breaker.

Does the job,I ordered 2 and one was cracked for the last 2 inches or so. I was able to use to but I couldn't have it screwed down tight on the side with the crack, if I screwed it tight to the floor the crack would open and look horrible.I ended up just leaving the one side a little loose.

Careful. When pulling it out of packaging there were little splinters coming off of it. Make sure you sand it down before you install it in your home.I put it in my bedroom door frame, and without sanding I'm sure I'd have gotten splinters in my feet and/or sox eventually.Light weight thin wood... I don't expect it to very long.

Would have liked them a little thicker but they worked for what I needed.

I do like the metal ones sold in most stores. This worked out very well. Easy for me (58 yrs old) to cut and install. Sits close to the floor and no tripping hazards. Good price.
