Fanimation Arden Pedestal Indoor Fan - Oil-Rubbed Bronze

Bought this fan because I was tired of replacing cheaper fans on a regular basis (every year or two). The fan feels solid, was easy to setup, and looks great. One problem... after only a month a rattle started with the motor that steadily grew louder over time until it was keeping me up at night. Based on a general decline in customer service at most companies, I had low expectations and was expecting a hassle with the return to get it fixed. When I called the manufacturer and spoke with a technician, though, they surprised me by shipping a replacement motor the same day after just a few questions about the problem. I was very impressed with the attitude and helpfulness, and wouldn't hesitate to buy another product from this company based on this experience.

While these fans look good and feel heavy and solid, and are not inexpensive, the motor is not well made. I have had three and they seem to wear out after a year or so of frequent use. And frequent use is not uncommon in a fan.

This is a nice looking quality fan. Virtually no fan noise. Oscillates beautifully. The one thing I would caution about is that this fan is quite small! It is a little over waist high. Great for a compact spot but much smaller than I expected. I paid 130.00 for it so I'm quite happy but if I'd paid 379.00 I'd be disappointed.

The fans are sturdy and operate well

This fan is sturdy feeling and looks nice with the bronze fan and wooden legs tho the tripod base uses a lot of floor space. The motor is quiet and puts out plenty of air, but the fan is much shorter than it looks in the picture and the top doesn't tilt. I could deal with the height, but really, for that price I can't believe it doesn't tilt.

the fan is athletically pleasing and works well for a very short period of time. After that, it starts making a rattling sound which is extremely annoying. Contacted support and they sent me a new one, it did the same thing as the first. Contacted them again and the third rattled just like the previous two. Support said it sounded like the motor was going out (they must get this complaint frequently). I gave two stars because support was promptly sent replacements with just explaining the issue. Kudos to the support team, engineering not so much.

I had some problems of engine making sound. Company took care of it though. Good to know they support their product so well. I love it, it lookgs great in my retro house. Well made, quality product.

I REALLY wanted to like this fan. But I don't. First....its small. Pay attention to the dimensions and have your expectations low about size. Second...its pretty cheaply made. For the price, I expected something of higher quality. But, its just an over-priced design made to maximize profit margins for people looking for a specific look. The price does NOT properly reflect build quality or air movement (size of fan). Third...it is incredibly noisy. It didn't start out that way, but it became that way....right before the motor went out completely. Less than 2 months after i bought it. The replacement came and it was incredibly noisy right out of the box. I have little reason to believe its not half way dead as it is. As much as I wanted to love this thing and yell my recommendation from the roof tops, i simply can't. The only thing i can yell from the roof tops is "SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND DON'T BUY THIS FAN!" Sorry. It really does pain me to leave this review.
