The tie was advertised as by vendor, "Ralph Marlin." Instead, I received a similar tie but produced by vendor, "Vesuvio Napoli." Though the ties are similar, the colors on the Ralph Marlin are brighter and there are more stripes than the Vesuvio. It's still a nice tie, but I was specifically looking for the Ralph Marlin tie. I'll keep this one since they are similar, but the advertising needs to be corrected so the customer receives 100% what he/she ordered.

I always wanted a tie to show off the American pride, and this necktie does that exactly. A bigger tie, it's about normal size. Made of decent material, I've looped and tied it a few times and still looks great. The design of stars on top and stripes below is also a nice plus. First day I wore it, I got a lot of complements. This isn't a tie just for independence day, it's a tie for any day to show off America. I'm definitely glad I got it.

I got this for my pilot husband, and it is the ONLY tie he wears - save an occasional holiday tie on appropriate occasion. His nickname at work is now Captain America. While the quality of the tie isn't of the highest caliber as ties go - it has held up really well considering how much use it gets. I may have to order a back up just in case this one meets an untimely demise.

Tie is not as depicted in the picture. The picture shown has a tie with 13 red and white stripes... like the 13 stripes on our flag. The tie I received has 15 red and white stripes. Really?!? You couldn't just make the blue field with stars a little longer and have 13 stripes. Very disappointing, especially since I saw other flag ties with 15 stripes and specifically ordered this one because of the 13 stripes in the photo.

This tie is simply eye catching. I wore it once and everyone said how beautiful it was. Now maybe that was because its the Amerixan Flag but I think the material, and brilliant colors accent our flag very well. Buy it. Buy it. Buy it.
