Whilst waiting for several weeks for a broadband installation, I thought I would try this as a temporary alternative. I'm in a fairly rural area and broadband signal isn't always great so I wasn't expecting miracles. It was very easy to set up and I popped a GiffGaff SIM in with data package. Connection was very straightforward and I now have a solid WiFi signal throughout the house. There is a single wired ethernet port which is handy. As is typical of this sort of device, the router is powered by a small adapter with a barrel jack. I have not run any formal download speed tests but the connection is fine for YouTube videos, web browsing and other lightweight internet used - I used the connection shared by two people with a total of six devices connected. If you need fast streaming /gaming this is probably more dependent on the 4G connection. The router is not 5G compatible. The package comes with two antennae which need to be screwed in place with 'O' rings to weatherproofing the top of the device. Supposedly the package is IP65 rated (liquid under pressure from all directions. I'm a bit sceptical about how sealed this would be tbh - it seems the bottom of the device (incl the SIM slot, the ethernet port and the power input) is pretty exposed to splashes. The only protection seems to be a clip in plate without any sort of rubber seal. For use indoors, I see no problem but I would be. bit concerned about putting it anywhere very exposed.

-DC Power Plugs that are fitted to the power adapters are undersized and frequently fall out of the socket on the router, or make such poor connection, when touched, the power drops out.(Needs a 6.3mm plug, not the 5.5mm one it comes with). -The provided antennas are very low gain, if you do manage to actually get full bars signal, it randomly drops the connection to the internet, whilst still claiming to be full signal, It's frustrating to say the least. -It's quite clearly sold as "Waterproof" but if you look at the manual (good luck trying to read any of it), it states, and I quote "Keep the device dry, keep any liquid from it to make any damage", looking at it, it probably only meets IP33*/slightly above ratings. -If you will need to do anything that requires the basic function of 'Port Forwarding' DO NOT BUY THIS, it has NO ABILITY TO PORT FORWARD, and it's user interface is severely limited/lacking. -It states, and again, I quote: it is "Suitable for wireless coverage &IP Camera". Whilst I don't deny this, I would HIGHLY advise AGAINST using it for IP cameras due to it's severe lack of configuration and low reliability. Overall, I might recommend this to someone who wanted the equivalent of a phone hot-spot to use every now and again with the added feature of an Ethernet connection, but I WOULD NOT recommend it to anyone wanting to do anything remotely demanding with it. I really wish I could still return this product, sadly the window has closed, it has caused me HOURS of frustration, wasted time and resources, just spend the extra money and buy something more suitable. One last note, the build quality is pretty low and the LED indicators on the side don't even correctly align with the clear indicator segments on the graphical overlay, it makes it hard to tell what LED's are actually on. *(IP33 meaning: Protected against a solid object greater than 2.5mm such as a screwdriver, Protected against sprays of water up to 60 degrees from the vertical. Limited ingress permitted for three minutes)

It's easy to set up. The port to install a SIM card is simple enough (I chose Smarty mobile) and it works nicely. The user interface is a bit simple by today's whizzy user interfaces but it's clean, clear and does exactly what you need it to do - in many respects, much easier than trying to add many bells and whistles. As it's for outdoors, I would have liked a longer power cable but they're easily available and a standard size connector. It's a 4G enabled wireless router. You switch it on, follow the instructions and any wi-fi requiring device should be able to find it.

Very handy device for remote IP cameras and security devices. Beware... Doesn't work with some of the piggy back network SIM cards. O2 Sim was plug and play! Can be mounted where the mobile signal is good... Even outdoors! External antenna can also be used. Sadly it doesn't have PoE. But there is space under the cover to wire your own. Employs very low power, mobile phone technology. No internal battery which makes rebooting at the mains easy. But looks like a micro USB socket is included... if you wanted to use a power bank battery. I didn't test that feature though.

I nearly returned this product. I became so frustrated from the beginning using. I never had a proper signal. When it's connected it lagged after every minute of connection. Of late it connects nicely after I've switched off the hotpot on my phone.

It states to be a router but it is not, it is more a gateway. There is no manipulation of NAT for either Port Forwarding, Open Ports or DMZ functions. A hint is in the wording, Router, to Route, no NAT manipulation cannot send incoming requests to a particular IP, therefore no Routing.

Does what it says on the tin. So easy to use. Only downside is the power cable length is very small, approximately 3ft (0.9metres). It’s been used on a caravan site in the middle of nowhere using a 3 sim.

It just did not feel right! when using a PC via another router plugged in with Ethernet it always took 2 clicks to get it to go somewhere. Then my cameras started to crash because there were "TOO MANY VIEWING!" which was terrifying as there was only my wife and I with access. EDIT: seller not too happy with my review and says other review I mention is from a competitor(deleted my reference to this). They assure me that this product was fully checked and is OK. BUT they also told me that I could secure the router by hiding the SSID ????? WiFi is not the problem, there is no protection from access from the internet to connected devices there is no firewall. Allowing me to return to a UK address now so that is good. EDIT2: Return now complete and a full refund given even for return postage to Scotland instead of China. My new router (different brand)on the same setup is performing flawlessly.

Tout juste un jouet. Ce routeur n'en est pas un, il n'a pas d'option avancées de configuration (il n'est pas possible de désactiver le serveur DHCP par exemple pour s'en servir de passerelle), le wifi est difficile à désactiver, les performances 4G sont assez faibles (pas mieux qu'un petit routeur de poche ou un smartphone). Le seul point positif reste la possibilité de le mettre dehors et donc en hauteur éventuellement pour mieux capter. Je n'ai pas testé cette possibilité. EDIT : J'enlève encore une étoile (passage de 2 à 1) car le routeur refuse de se connecter avec une SIM NRJ mobile à cause du "roaming" supposé qui interdit la connexion. EDIT 2 : J’ai renvoyé le produit.

Llevo varios comprados y la verdad es que van genial, son sencillos de configurar y muy estables, funcionan de continuo y no se bloquean. Un acierto.

Quando ho effettuato acquisto ero molto scettico, ma dopo circa 1 settimana devo dire... Perfetto. Facile da configurare, basta entrare nelle impostazioni e inserire APN corretto del proprio operatore. Amazon sempre il TOP… Ad oggi, oltre 2 settimane di utilizzo funziona perfettamente!
