Gabriel MachtSuits: Season Three

The best legal show on TV. Period.
I can't wait for this terrific show to return for winter. This is a thoroughly entertaining show written by some really smart guys and gals. It surely has New York written all over it and even though it is about a high powered lawyer at the apogee of his legal career in New York, the characters have just the right amount of attitude and humanity woven into them. They are complex, intelligent, super-competitive, yes egotistical, but come across as people I can relate to. I say this even though I never have lived in NY, am not a lawyer (although I have lawyers in my family) and would never move to NY in a hundred years because I don't really care to have the lifestyle and be part of the culture it represents. This is a great show and I hope it runs for another 5 seasons at least. Gabriel Macht is a supremely well cast as Harvey Specter (protagonist), as is Sarah Rafferty as his assistant Donna Paulsen. The script is so well written, all the plots are original, characters are extremely well defined with very original personalities, traits and recognizable flaws, regardless of the amount of time they appear on the screen. It's as though no character is insignificant for the episode they're a part of. It's a very fast moving show, with a lot taking place in each season. Isn't that just great!

Suits Rocks!!!
Without a doubt, for me, this is one of the best TV shows I ever watched! I absolutely love it! Gabriel Macht is stunning as he develops and plays to perfection Harvey Spector. Patrick Adam's interpretation of Mike Ross is amazing. The plot is completely engrossing; the production values are candy for the senses; the writing and directing are superb! I can't wait for the next episode and the next season. The women are fabulous! Rachel, Donna and Jessica are truly compelling performances, not to mention the clothes!! Without an excess of blood, violence, and gratuitous sex, the show is tastefully sexy, very! The show accurately and subtly depicts the violence of the inequality of our American culture doing the "Greenback Boogie", the title of its breathtaking and hypnotizing theme music. It's smart, sophisticated, sexy, steamy and sizzling in its portrayal of the level of class relations that Charles Dickens described in Bleak House as the fog of London, which concealed the class hierarchy of the suffering of those below from those on the top. "Suits" similarly and brilliantly exposes the unique workings and conspicuous consumption at the top of the U.S. class system. "Everybody wanna know how it feels, everybody wanna see what it's like. . . ."

Mature THINKING Audiences Only
Wow. I have started MANY series in the past several years after returning from a long (20 year) hiatus from the US. I have been so disappointed. Many of the series are based on a flawed premise (i.e. zombies in the Walking Dead). Some series ask that you suspend reality in the plot by expecting you to believe a series of events that are less plausible than the Easter Bunny.Still other series sell you on violence and nudity (Sons of Anarchy). To find a series that has intrigue, a plausible environment (boy genuis), and nothing more controversial than a 7 second tush shot of an older adult (Season 3) is refreshing.Characters whom are likable do dastardly deeds for which you despise, albeit temporarily, them. Characters portrayed as villains do magnanimous things for which they are admired (again temporarily). There is the right amount of humor. There are strong female and male characters. Power, both real and imagined, shifts with each episode. there are few "to be continued" episodes leaving me satisfied with each episode (remember Masterpiece Theater?).Many of the traits that make me like the NCIS tri-ad/athalons are present in Suits. Will you like it? If you are a 20/30-something that has to be titillated, probably not. But if you are a thinking viewer that prefers a mental challenge over a carnal stimulation, I believe that answer is yes.

Great characters; great story lines
The only other legal show I love more is Boston Legal because they dealt with all the social, political and environmental issues of the day that still unfortunately exist in 2023.The characters in Suits are all well rounded but emotionally on a see-saw constantly. It's a high priced evening soap opera, always entertaining. The one real drawback is just a personal opinion about the way the women dress; purely sexist. They look more like high priced hookers than lawyers and employees of a law firm. Such tight clothing that it inhibits the way they walk. 4" staletto heels that also make if difficult to move. And the long mops of hair that just do not fit with their profession. I just had to get that off my chest.Other than that, I am on my third round of binge walching the entire series. Well worth watching.

Fabulous TV series
My wife and I have watched these a couple of times. Years ago and then this summer. This entire series is simply excellent. Intense emotionally but so well done. The character Louis Litt has to be one of my favorites on TV for all shows.
