My sofa is 72 in from end to end not counting the arms what size would i need?

Mine is similar in size, which was leading me to buy a large, BUT...I read another consumer’s review, that said if you have 3 cushions get an X large. I bought the X large and glad I did, because there was plenty to tuck into the couch keeping it more secure. The only review leaning to negative, was some one saying it constantly was coming up, I think the larger size allowed deeper “stuffing” so kept it in better. So I think if you follow size guide it will say large, but I went with an xtra large and was still able to line the seems and smooth it out.

hello , the seat width is different , The X large Fits sofas with seats widths 78" . The large size Fits sofas with seats widths 66" .

The loveseat size measures Width: 35", High: 33'', Depth: 24” and Fits sofas with seats widths 46.5" .

Can the elastic strap go along the back of the couch or does the couch have to have removable back cushions to use the straps?

My sofa has loose back cushions, and I really only need to protect the seat cushions. That said, I removed the back cushions before installing the cover (which fit like a dream), then put the back cushions back on the sofa OVER the cover. Looks nicer than the long towel I used to spread over the length of the sofa seat!
