Great job, but.....
Fantastic little aquarium! We needed to get a larger container for my son's Betta and this works great!! The light is nice to have... She especially likes it when we feed her, sort of like a trigger to know it is coming. I have one complaint, however, the pump has started to not work. It comes on, then doesn't.... Can't tell if it is a short or what. Will be contacting the vendor to see about replacing the pump unit. Overall, great little addition for us. Pump or not, since it isn't critical. 9/1/19 - I raised the number of stars to 5 based on the seller's response to my problems!!!

Very compact all in one fish tank with good build and perfect size for shrimps or a single crayfish
I have own fish tank from 64 gallons to literally a quarter gallon plastic tank. This is not cheap for its size in my honest opinion but it has got everything you need for a tank and it is very well-thought out build and compact so I assume it is worth the price. All you have to do is add water and bacteria in the tank and let it run on its own for a couple of weeks before you add any inhabitant into the tank. Is it perfect for a single betta? I would say yes because betta do not like to swim in big tanks. I had put a betta in a 20 gallon or even 10 gallon tank before and all it does is hover closer to the top on a corner because betta, as a gourami family, are surface breather and they need to constantly swim up to breath, hence the air bubbles it blow around it's nesting area. So yes, contrary to all the cry babies about betta cruelty, this is a perfect tank for betta. The filtration system part of this tank, which literally takes up a quarter of the entire tank volume, is more than enough to filter out the impurities from the water and let you relax and enjoy the tank without the need for weekly water change, provided you only place a single betta fish in there. If you use this tank to house micro shrimps, you don't need to change any water at all, just need to top up evaporated water from the tank occassionally. One caution though, the light tends to get hot and it also raise the temperature of the water, which is a major plus in cold weather seasons. In hot summer, I would turn the lights off in hot summer nights or during the hot days. I highly recommend this little compact tank. Since this is an acrylic tank, please do not use any rough scrub material to clean the surface of the tank, inside or outside. It will scratch the hell out of this beautiful tank. Use a soft cloth or an acrylic scrubber that you can buy for cheap from petco. The scrubber usually come in white color. The blue scrubbers are for glass surface only and will definitely scratch the hell out of this tank. Enjoy.

Disappointed
We were every excited about this aquarium for our new betta. Per the description it appeared to have everything we were looking for. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The most frustrating thing for us is that this tank is not at all suitable for a betta (as described). Within 2 days we realized that this tank would only continue to be a problem and that our betta would most likely not be able to live very long in this home. We immediately worked on processing and return and finding a suitable replacement for this aquarium. Many of the features were not as described: - The latching system for the top of the lid on the aquarium would not stay on and continued to cause a problem every time we opened the tank to feed our betta - When attempting to feed our betta through the "feeding holes" on the top of the lid the filter sucked up the food before our betta could get anything - Both the lower and top filter pulled our betta towards them with too much suction (causing his fins to get stuck). We ended up having to shut of the filer until we could arrange the tank high enough to fully cover the lower filter (leaving even less room for the betta to move around the tank) - Top Filter: we ended up having to keep the water below the top filter so the betta would not get its fins and tail pulled in - the export for the water of the filter is too much- making it so the betta would not swim of the opposite side of the intake - the plants would not stay in the gravel and floated to the top - the tank became very hazy after only 2 days due to inadequate filtration system - If you end up with a betta that can jump or bump the lid they could easily get out of this tank - there is such a small space for the betta to swim around due to having to put the gravel higher above the filtration (less then 1.4 gallons) - this tank would need to be cleaned at least weekly even with a filter - They do not provide a charger (there are cords that plug in as a phone charger would- cord only) On the plus side if you are looking to house something different this tank may be a good fit (e.g. possibly small shrimp or a snail may be appropriate) Another great thing is that the light plugs in- this makes it so you do not have to replace batteries on the light often. Many tank lights similar to this setup have the lighting system set up as battery operated.

Not too bad..
UPDATE: 6 weeks from purchase and the light in the lid just stopped working.. Filter still works.. Bought this for my sons Betta fish. Set up was easy.. Filter seems to work fine.. My only complaint is that i think the suction is a little bit too much for Betta fish. I noticed after the first couple days that when the filter is on, the fish gets pulled to the right side where the water sucks through to the back. So.. i don't leave the filter on.. I'll turn it on long enough for the water to clear up then i turn it off.. I don't know if your supposed to do that.. But its working out for us soo far.

The reflection in the sides can be a problem
So I read through tons of reviews before I bought. I understood the pump was possibly a little strong going into it. Not sure if that’s the case yet. I moved the beta into his new home from a normal round bowl this morning. The tank is smaller than I thought and his last with more stuff but that isn’t what bothered him. The light is so bright it causes reflections on the sides and he is constantly flaring up which means stress. Maybe this is just a male beta thing? I don’t know I’m no fish whisperer. But I turned the light off and lifted the lid and he seems more normal now. Maybe I’ll slowly introduce it later? Who knows. Maybe this is less with female beta? Not sure. Again I’m no fish expert. Quality is ok for the price. Seems reasonable.

Nice little betta aquarium!
I don't normally write reviews, but there a couple things with this aquarium that I thought were worth sharing. I am really enjoying having this on the bar in my kitchen for my betta, and appreciate that it doesn't take up too much space. Just a couple things from my experience that I wanted to share. 1. I read some reviews about keeping the water filled nearly to the top in order for the filter to not be obnoxious. I have it about a half inch from the top and it's nice and quiet. Discovered that with the wall in place, my betta can leap the wall in a single bound and get himself stuck in the back. 2. I read a lot of commentary about the filter being too strong. While I don't disagree, I found a way around it so that I can still use the filter. I put a betta hammock leave at the top near the filter and it absorbs a lot of the pressure so it's not too strong for the fish, but also has the benefit of the water being filtered. 3. Because the water goes behind the wall where the filter and sponge are, I also put the heater back there. It fits just fine and doesn't take away from swim space. 4. You're for sure going to want to buy another plant other than what comes with the aquarium, as it's not nearly enough coverage for the fish. I'm attaching a couple links of the things I'm using that I found on amazon. Hope someone finds them helpful. Super small tank with major flaws
The photos on Amazon make this tank look more roomy than it actually is. I have since replaced his tank with a 3 gallon for my office, and this will be his home tank for my long weekends away from work. The black panel that separates the filter area from the tank cuts down on space, huge flaw. Next problem, if you use the LED light for an hour, the lid gets SUPER hot. I had to turn it off, I was very alarmed that the plastic was going to melt, or worse, catch fire. Third problem, this came with a USB plus only, no electrical plug. At the office that is fine, but at home when he sits in my kitchen, this is a problem. I have to go find a box to plug his filter in. However, this was prior to waking up one morning and finding him stuck to the wall of the tank! He swims close to the wall where the sponge filter is and it sucks him up and pins him against the grate. He stays there until one of us notices him. So we have since stopped using the light, as well as the filter. I ordered moss balls for both tanks. The plastic plants also are about unusable, very hard to get to stand up since they are just the short stem and nothing else. You have no choice but to stick it down in the rocks and readjust if it is not straight. Way overpaid for this set up. Over this tank entirely.

Perfect for Office Relaxation!
This small fish tank is fantastic! It’s compact enough to fit on my desk but still provides a lovely view of the fish swimming. The setup was simple, and it’s easy to maintain. Having it in the office adds a calming and cheerful vibe to my workspace. The quality feels excellent, and it’s a great way to enjoy the beauty of an aquarium without taking up too much space. Highly recommend for any office or small room!
