I love these types of classic films with Ray Harryhausen effects. I grew up watching Golden voyage of Sinbad every Christmas holiday and as such that will always remain my favourite. Like that film this one also features a Classic Doctor Who and it's always wonderful to watch Patrick Troughton steel the show, just as Tom Baker stole the show in the Golden Voyage! The picture and sound are excellent as one would expect with Blu Ray. Sorry to repeat a worn out phrase but as a 34 year old I can totally appreciate that 'they don't make em like this anymore'!

I’ve not watched this dvd yet but when I seen it was on blu/ray I thought why not. I remember when I first went to see this movie when it first came out on the pictures. It was many many years ago back then I loved it so I’m hoping I’ll love it just as much I know it will take me back so many years. 👍

Yes CGI ARE AMAZING, but the days of stop motion will forever hold a love to me from my childhood. These films are still entertaining and enjoyable, the quality of the picture is vastly improved without ruining the film

This is so far my favorite of the Sinbad Series, and has my favorite harryhausen creatures by far. The seller of the blu ray that I purchased from was selling it as a "Region B" blu ray, which means you need a region free player to play it if you are in North America. However I was surprised when I got it, that it's actually a Multi-Region blu ray "A,B,C" which means you can play this feature in any blu ray player around the world! I have a region free player, but actually didn't need it for this blu ray release. Great story line, a huge variety of creatures, and an adventure to the top of the world to find a hidden, tropical paraside surrounded by ice and snow. If you are a Harryhausen fan, this is the ONE you will like watch the most. It also comes with a rediculous amount of EXTRAS. Seem my attached photos to read all the extras.

The movie was better looking on the bluray than the dvd it’s sharper and more detailed.the extras were great the interviews with ray was used as a commentary covered his whole life in movies and the how he did the special effects.janes interview was fun worth the upgrade
