BENCMATE Protective Inflatable Collar for Dogs and Cats - Soft Pet Dog Cone Recovery Collar Does Not Block Vision E-Collar(Large, Blue)

Bought for our cockapoo following an operation on her back. She’d been sent home wearing the Cone of Shame, which she hated. We ordered this on the recommendation of the vet, and it came next day. What a brilliant item! Easily attaches to the dog collar and ensures your dog cannot get to ant wounds on the body. It’s basically an inflatable ring with a soft cover, and appears to be very comfortable. Our dog could sleep well in it and eat/drink easily whilst wearing it. Would 100% recommend.

Lovely alternative to the dreaded “cone of shame”. My dog recently had an op and I wanted to make sure he was as comfy as possible during a long recovery. This was a great buy - although I brought the wrong one by mistake, this is almost identical, cheaper and just as effective as the one I intended to buy. Pros: - lovely and soft (no scratches to furniture from the stiff plastic of normal cones etc) - seems robust/ thick material , with a fabric type cover, not just plastic. Still washable. - comfortable for sleeping - dog can see and move more freely (the old cone would restrict his field of vision and he would catch the cone on door frames etc- the donut just acted as a cushion)! - easier to fit dog into a crate than trying to allow him to turn around wearing a regular cone., - neck sizing was good. Simple but effective/ strong Velcro fastening. Hasn’t managed to pull it over his head/ take it off. Cons: - the diameter of the donut is quite small. My dog is long with long legs so he could still reach the wound on his knee if he wanted to. The donut did seem to act as a deterrent though. Would be perfect for neuter, torso or hip surgery/ injuries. - blowing it up was a bit of a struggle. You have to bite hard onto the inner/ wider part of the value to get it to open. Fine once you know. Otherwise you look a bit of a plonker at the vet not being able to inflate it! Test before you need it! - not really a con, but I liked the shark design. But it has ‘fins’ on the side. I though these might be too tempting for my other dog- and his recovery wouldn’t be helped by having her swinging from them as he hobbled by.

This XL donut collar is perfect for my large dog ( Akita) it's clear she enjoys wearing it as she uses it as a pillow and she can still drink and eat easily. its good quality with a removable washable cover. Would definitely recommend this product.

I bought this for my pet French Bulldog who is a fairly small sized pet and whilst the collar itself seemed comfortable its Velcro fastening was a little loose and he was at times able to shake it off. I ended up buying a plastic alternative which was probably less comfortable but more practical. Was easy top inflate.

These collars are brilliant, much better than plastic cones. My frenchie was much more comfortable and wasn’t able to scratch stitches. Would 100% recommend this.

This is a great alternative to the plastic cone but might not be the best depending on what you’re trying to prevent your dog from doing. Pros: •soft •easy to fit, take on and off •wider field of vision •easier to eat and drink •doesn’t get caught on walls and doors or small children, adult shins etc •if fitted properly prevents dog from licking nether regions Cons •wouldn’t prevent scratching head/neck area •doesn’t prevent dog from licking/chewing paws •if not tight enough or secured properly, dog can reach to lick nether regions •dog can’t lay head flat for resting We found it best that we alternated between this and the plastic cone for different times of day. The plastic cone allowed our dog to lay flat for sleeping, this cushion can make it difficult for dogs to lay down comfortably. Quality seems okay for the price, I worry the Velcro will get worn down quickly but time will tell. Size guides and measurements were accurate, a size L fits our “large” adult golden doodle (~25kg).

This was brilliant at stopping our miniature labradoodle from scratching the hot spot below her ear. She didn't like it but tolerated it for a week and so much more comfortable than a traditional vets cone. She was still able to reach her lower regions so would only recommend for face/ear issues. It did make her snore badly though!!

Bought this inflatable collar for my dog Lilly after her cruciate ligament surgery. She had to stay in a crate, and the standard plastic cone was a complete nightmare—rigid, uncomfortable, and clearly distressing for her. This collar was a huge relief in comparison. It looks cute, feels much more comfortable, and honestly resembles a travel pillow rather than a post-surgery device. Lilly tolerated it far better and it gave her a much-needed break from the dreaded plastic cone. That said, it’s not perfect. She was still able to reach her back leg while wearing it, so we only used it during the day when we could supervise her. For unsupervised time, the cone was still necessary. Overall, not a full replacement for a cone in our case, but a very welcome alternative for comfort and recovery time. Sometimes “not perfect” is still a big improvement.

Great product! Works as described. Easy to clean and appears comfortable.

This worked great for our dog’s surgery recovery! She was able to sleep comfortably with it. Was not able to reach her scar on her leg. Kept the air quite well as well.

Ho acquistato questo collare per il mio cagnolino dopo un intervento chirurgico e sono davvero soddisfatto del prodotto. Il collare è estremamente morbido e confortevole, non impedisce la visione del mio cane e non lo limita nei movimenti. A differenza di altri collari conici, questo non dà fastidio al mio animale e non lo infastidisce durante il sonno o i pasti. La facilità di gonfiaggio e sgonfiaggio rende molto pratico l'utilizzo, permettendomi di rimuovere il collare quando non necessario. La qualità dei materiali è eccellente e il design carino e accattivante. Il mio cane sembra a suo agio con questo collare e non cerca in alcun modo di toglierlo. Nel complesso, sono davvero entusiasta di aver acquistato questo prodotto BENCMATE. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti i proprietari di animali domestici che hanno bisogno di un collare protettivo e sicuro per il recupero post-operatorio o per situazioni simili. Un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo!

Great Product and soft and well made , but sizing chart was off and my Biewer was able to lick his incision. Returned for alternative solution.
