This was a fun way to gift a family member cash. The device is not of high quality, so if it got broken in the process of figuring out the steps to unlock the box, it wouldn't have been a huge loss, as the device was very reasonably priced. Unlocking the box was moderately challenging, so it wasn't too complicated, yet presented enough of steps that you had to work at it. Much better than having cash fall out of an envelope!

The puzzle box that held the Christmas gift card was a delightful surprise. The design was intricate, adding an extra layer of excitement to the gift-giving experience. The level of difficulty was just right, challenging but not frustrating. Overall, it enhanced the joy of receiving the gift card and made the Christmas celebration even more memorable.

I'm going to mirror what a lot of other reviewers have said. This makes for a nice gift, or the box for a small gift, like jewelry, gift cards, SMALL/THIN items, NOT as an every-day-wear kind of box. It doesn't have very many steps, but they are decently difficult for people who don't do puzzles all the time (but maybe not for small hands or for the easily-frustrated). There are TWO compartments, and the second one is best geared for gift cards as it's shallow. Mine smelled of fresh lacquer (like paint thinner, not booze) and the parts were REALLY tight and kinda stuck together, like they had been put together while the coatings hadn't quite cured yet. Before I gifted it I operated it a number of times, start to finish, to make sure it opened when it should, but the outer finish isn't durable enough for this to be used as an every-day jewelry box. This is best used as a gift box, and something to put valuables in that are not accessed frequently, as the parts are liable to loosen up, and the finish might rub off. But it was fun watching my wife kinda struggle with it :P

Super fun. We all enjoyed watching the kids decipher how to open the box and retrieve the financial gain.

Neat box, but the bottom drawer wouldn’t open.

These are perfect for any occasion. I gave to my nephew for Christmas last year who is 16 and he enjoyed trying to get it opened. Probably took him about 15-20 minutes. Lots of fun to watch.

The box came as described, it was very well-made. I had no scratches or any issues described by others. I LOVED the idea of something fun to spice up giving cash or gift cards. Teens and adult children want cash or cards (in this economy, who can blame them?). The puzzle box is beautiful and well-made. I say this, but use caution when solving. Remember that it is a puzzle, not a demolition project. The solution is not easy and does present a challenge. The solution is included, and what I did is took it out of the box prior to giving. Of course they can always Google the solution, but hopefully they stick with it and work through it. I like that the box is reusable. I figure they can pass it on to someone else or return to me for next gift giving opportunity. Love it, love it...I bought 4. Highly recommend!!!

This is a cute puzzle box, easy to open with the instructions. (I’m hiding them from the person receiving it!) good quality, I.’m very happy with my purchase!
