Went to the beach for a few hours on my birthday and watched someone else's Tommy Bahama beach umbrella snap in two. Given we didn't abandon ours so when it got windy we could hold on to it...the cup holders are great! I am the type of person who religiously applies sunscreen every hour, and I wear long sleeves to the beach. I did take off my long sleeves and sit under the umbrella for about an hour at some point and I got burned. This will keep you cool and keep the sun out of your face so you can be comfortable but it will NOT act as UV protection. Keep your sunscreen on!

This was a great addition to our yearly beach trip items!! I went in july instead of the normal June, so it was much hotter than usual and more gusty winds also. Especially with the tropical storm getting closer. It got a little wobbly a few times but never once "gave out" on us. Even when using the tilt feature. Just have to make sure to twist the pole into the sand kind of deep. The only thing we didn't like, was the fact that we had to remember to tighten the part that the hooks are attached to. We almost lost the part a few times. Other than that, I highly recommend!

I really like this umbrella, and I like the corkscrew base that comes with it. Although the handles that twist the base down into let's say sand or dirt, feels a little weak at times. But overall I am satisfied of the width in coverage that this umbrella provides.

The umbrella is good, I thought it was supposed to come with cup holder, didnt receive one, and the print in the fabric is nice but there is a smear, like a paint smear on the fabric, looks like someone pulled it through while the print was being added to the fabric

I loved this umbrella. It was so pretty! Found it lightweight, and gave good shade. Unfortunately, it didn’t withstand wind. It twisted on a gust and compromised the plastic hardware. I tried returning it and replacing it with the same one and when was en route, I got a message saying it was ‘undeliverable’. This is a first. Maybe just as well.

Overall an awesome umbrella, recently put to the test on South Carolina beaches. The only thing to keep an eye on is the TOP half: the bottom is never going to pull up, not with the cork screw auger design. However, the top can blow away in very windy spots no matter how hard you tighten it down. This is just a design engineering oversight.

I have mixed feelings on this product. On one hand, it is light weight and easy to carry. The umbrella covers a large area. If you do buy it, however, make sure the umbrella part and the sand anchor base are firmly attached. Recently, during a beach visit on a moderately windy day, the umbrella separated from the anchor base blew across the beach. I had tightened it (what I thought) very firmly, but apparently not firmly enough.

This purchase was a mistake. Description implied that it could withstand 35 mph wind. When subjected to barely 20 mph the umbrella collapsed and the pole separated. Four pronged hook came off and was nearly lost. I was forced to tie down the umbrella section to use it the rest of the day. For $65 I expected much more. I went to a local beach store, Wings, and purchased a stronger and larger umbrella for $ 46. I put this one in the case and plan to return it.Oh but now I find that I am unable to return a terrible, misdescribed item because the return "window had closed.I ordered the item in June to be used at the beach on my vacation in July. Now I find that I was to have returned it before I even had a chance to attempt to use it. Rather difficult to use a beach umbrella in Ky.
