Why does the LED strip get red or orange gradually when you set the whole roll of LED strip on full white?

The working voltage of the led strip is only 5V. The LEDs far from the power supply will get lower and lower voltage so it become red or orange gradually. There are extra black and red 2-pin wire on both ends of the led strip to inject power.

If one pixel dies, does the rest still work? Or only the ones before the dead pixel?

Just cut off the bad pixels and reconnect them, and the rest can work normally.
