Lignans for Life Melatonin for Dogs & People, 6mg - 120 Capsules - Capsules - Pet Treats - Vitamins for Overall Health

I’m fairly certain my 12 year old dog has Cushings. The vet wanted me to take him to another facility for extensive work up to diagnose him. He has severe hip dysplasia as well as several other medical problems. I researched Cushings and have been giving him Lignans as well as melatonin with marked improvement in his symptoms. His main symptoms excessive thirst, excessive hunger, excessive panting , and what appeared to be excessive anxiety have gotten 75% better. It did take a week or two to see improvement but it seems to have helped tremendously. We are happy with the results. I have not discussed this with his vet but will need to do so this month bc his yearly check up is due.

I ordered melatonin and cholodin to help my older dog (7+ years) who has been displaying nighttime anxiety. He is calm during the day, but as soon as we go to bed he is panting and pacing off and on throughout the night. It gets so bad that I end up moving out of the bedroom to sleep with him on the couch most nights so my partner can sleep, but that is not sustainable. He is 50 lbs so yesterday I gave him 1 cholodin (recommended for dogs 25-50lb) at his dinner and 3mg of melatonin before bed and he slept through the night! To make sure it's not just a fluke, I will do 3 days of this combination, then 3 days of cholodin alone, then 3 days of melatonin alone and will report back with the results. The cholodin I ordered was Cholodin Tablets 50 Tabs. I also have been putting flower remedy drops in his water a few nights before I started this combo, but that only seemed to make a small difference. L Theanine is another supplement that was recommended by my vet about a year and a half ago which worked pretty well at first, but I had to keep increasing the dosage and it seems to wear off in the middle of the night. Hopefully this does not happen with cholodin and melatonin.

Vet prescribed this dosage for my dog with Cushing's, and it has worked in conjunction with the flaxseed lignans. Had the hardest time finding this dose anywhere or a non-gummy version. Her body is so used to it now that it doesn't make her groggy or anything, and she hasn't had any negative side effects from this supplement. I have also used this for other family dogs (including a husky and a german shepherd) during fireworks and bad thunderstorms, as they get anxiety during these loud events, and they helped calm them down enough to ride it out without pacing or freaking out. The quality is consistent with each bottle we get from this brand, and we have been purchasing this brand for about 2 years now.

I give one to my dog at night so she doesn't wake me up at 3 a.m. for no reason.

I am a dog groomer and share these with customers. It works great for high anxiety dogs and cats!! 2-3 capsules each depending on dogs anxiety and size.. I have them give 90 minutes prior to appt. It absolutely has been so great for clients and me. Highly recommend!
