Outstanding Lens
This is my number one lens for now on. One lens for any situation; i.e. portraits , travel, city scenes. Auto focus is fast although a little noisy but not loud. Lens is very sharp, good photos taken with very good resolutions. Stabilization is a must.

Great on the EOS R
I adapted this lens to my EOS R using the Canon control ring adapter. It covers a great focal range and so far has had no issues. Great, simple, versatile telephoto lens; no complaints about image quality either.

Excellent glass but not very rugged.
I was very surprised at the quality of the glass which produces beautiful portraits even in low light situations. The primary issue I have with it is the build quality. The front lens assembly which also has the bayonet mount is attached by 3 plastic feet. I hadn't noticed until I went to use the lens during a function, that the 2 of the 3 feet on the assembly had been snapped; presumably by the tension applied by the mounted hood. I'd say that it's an excellent lens for amateurs or for those who don't do too many portraits. However for the cost it's a quality piece of kit but it isn't a truly serious professional lens.

Great zoom portrait lens!
This is my favorite Tamron lens. I don't have any prime lenses, but the clarity and lighting from this lens is very impressive. The pic of the cat is completely unedited.

Worth the money.
An amazing lens for the price. Youโll have very few issues adapting this lens as well. The auto focus is a little loud and can be audible depending on your audio extraction method.

AF is incredibly slow
The AF on this lens is incredibly slow rendering it near useless. I returned it and purchased a 24-70mm G2 for Canon. It is the polar opposite. Exceptionally fast AF. Better made in Japan construction.
