Review: i got this for the pins but. - hey ya know i need some light weight stake for the ground as they are about 1/15th the weight of the heavy metal ones they send. the hammer is fantastic though its sturdy and works great and you also get some guide lines free so for the same price as 12 stakes u get 12 stakes a hammer guide lines who can say no to that ? tho i think its only 10? i cant remember i know its a lot though and im really impressed with the over all quality. Review: Well worth the money!! - The tent stakes have 3 adjustment notches and are made from 7075 aluminum so you can pound on them hard without breaking or damaging them. The guy lines are very reflective and the tensioners are aluminum as well. I was very happy with the hammer! It's heavy enough to hit the stakes with a good amount of force but not so heavy that it will weigh your pack down!! Plus, the attached hook for pulling out the tent stakes a blade are an added plus!! Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase!!!

Nice kit
This is a good set up, I did not give it five stars for a couple reasons. I think it should come with a few instructions. I personally had no issues on how to use it, but someone not familiar with it may. The photos for the kit show the tent pegs straight up and down. Tent pegs should be hammered in at an angle. It also show that the hook of the hammer is pulling out the peg by the cord. In hard dirt the cord would probably break. I suggest using the hook to pull on the notches on the tent peg. The guylines are great and reflective; nice feature. The guyline adjuster should come with instructions on how to use it. Some users may not know how to adjust the tension. The back end of the hammer I assume is some type of trenching tool. This will come in handy on a rainy day if one wants to dig a small trench around their tent to redirect the rain runoff the tent. I took a file to the trenching part to make it sharper to dig better. I guess one could use the trencher in a garden too. The bag holds everything so that’s cool. It’s a good light weight setup but probably not on an backpacking trip where every ounce of weight counts.

great value for your money !!
Pretty impressed by this product for the ! the hammer is suprisingly light and extremly study , the stakes seem like they should hold up and it came all nicely packed in a visible bag :) the cord is basic cordage and ill be swapping mine out for something dif but should do the trick :) Overall im def happy with this purches and would recomend this to someone starting to build there kit or if you need a light weight stake set :) ill update when i give this product a run for its money in a couple weeks :)

Solid little hammer
Great little hammer for putting tent stakes into hard ground. The included stakes are much better than ones that are normally provided with tents and shelters. The hook on the other end for removing spikes is solid and unlike the one on the end of a coleman rubber mallet, doesn’t bend.

MUST-BUY Stakes!
these stakes are a life saver and INCREDIBLY easy to get out of all sorts of dirt. i've used this solely on all of my trip this summer and i have yet to be disappointed. worked very well in the rain of michigan, grounds of indiana, and the mountains of california they should partner with tent companies to supply their stakes moving forward!!!! you will NOT be disappointed!

Fantastic
Love this little set. The stakes went in easy. Better than the plastic stakes for sure. And the hammer is perfect. Only down side is that it's designed to be pulled up by the string, but that's not too hard to get around

Overall Too Light Duty
It’s difficult to give this kit a review since there are three components and they are not equal in performance. My overall review of three stars is sort of the average of the three, although mostly weighted by the performance of the hammer/puller. First the good: The overall quality of the items is good with the possible exception of the pegs. It’s nice to have a kit like this to have spare pegs and guy lines should the ones that came with your shelter fail or get damaged. The bag makes it handy to pack and convenient. So, by item... Hammer/puller: Nice build quality and good looking. However it’s lighter than advertised. It says 380grams/13.4 oz. in the description but I weighed mine on a digital scale and it came up as 360gr/12.6 oz. This is important because when used to drive pegs into hard ground it feels way too light and takes a LOT of wacking. The light weight may seem like an advantage in backpacking but what backpacker worth their sawed-off toothbrush do you know who would actually carry this? This is, realistically, for car or, in my case, motorcycle camping. So rather than lighter, I’d prefer to see this a few ounces heavier to function well. In fact, after I bought it and used it a few times I started to think I’d have been better off putting a heavy-duty screw hook on the end of a regular 16 oz. rip hammer. Five bucks and a trip to Harbor Freight and you’d have a better tool. The reason I say a rip hammer not claw is that I have found the trenching tool to be useful around camp, although, again, a bit too light. I guess the strap is supposed to be a safety feature but I find it a nuisance. The peg puller functions as designed. Guy lines: Good quality. Adequate but not generous length. Reflectivity a plus. Adjusters a bit prone to slippage. Pegs: Too short for good holding power in all but hard ground - about three inches shorter than standard. I like the notches but only the top one is useful realistically. Haven’t bent any yet. Would I recommend this kit? You could get by fine with just the rip hammer/hook in your kit. You could put together a better kit from scratch but not many people would go through the time and effort. But I can’t argue with the convenience of just having it delivered to my door. So.... It’s hard not to give it a qualified ‘yes’.

Nice big tent pegs but still very light
Cord sealing the bag seemed to work out of hem quickly (4 day hike) but otherwise very happy.
