It does a tiny bit, but it mostly just smells like skin care. It smells good. Not strong or overwhelming.

Where is the AHA on the ingredient list?

This product contains Lactic acid in the form of Sodium Lactate.

Is this more gentle than the ordinary's aha/bha peel?

Yes it is gentle. The Ordinarys is a heavy duty wash off treatment and you should only use it if you are experienced with chemical exfoliates and your skin is used to them. Even then I don't normally recommend the peeling solution because people leave it on for a couple minutes longer thinking it will work better and they damage there skin! This is very nice and gentle but still effective and its good for both newbies and pros! It is a great mask from bliss.
