These are delicious! I made a walnut pie instead of a pecan pie for Thanksgiving and these walnuts were so fresh and perfect!! Ordered these 3 years ago and the quality was excellent then as it was now!!

Taste great worth the money will buy again

I was unable to find walnuts at home. None for the holidays. When I found this 5 lb bag of California walnuts, and at a reasonable price, I had to try it. I am sooo pleased. This bag is filled all five pounds with beautiful and tasty fresh walnuts. They are packaged great, and I can freeze them for many uses. I will definitely go back time and time again to Farm Fresh Nuts packaged with love. I love it!!

I would give these shelled walnuts a zero. They taste like some kind of chemicals on them. I checked online to see why and was informed not to eat them because they were rancid and to throw them away. The walnuts were bad and not to be eaten. Your company Farm Fresh Nuts had to know there were rancid.

All of a sudden consumers are realizing that nuts provide major health benefits. Walnuts fall in the upper third of that category. Very beneficial to the human body. I will not waste space to list all the health benefits of this nut but be assured the benefits are real. The problem I have with these nuts are they are pretty bland right out of the bag. I’ve always enjoyed candied nuts so I solved my problem. I placed these nuts in a large bowl and added 3 egg whites. I mixed them well and sprinkled them with cinnamon and Splenda, (you can of course use regular sugar if you are so inclined.) I placed them on a cookie sheet and baked them a while. After cooling you have great coated walnuts. These nuts from Amazon were a fair deal and were very fresh. If you like walnuts but don’t like them plain, try to fix them up a bit and you will have a tasty healthy snack. In case you want to “candy” these walnuts, here is a basic recipe: In a bowl mix sugar, cinnamon if desired or any other flavoring. Add two egg whites and mix well. You can add a drop of vanilla which’s adds to the taste. Once everything is mixed well, place the mixture on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper in a single layer. Place in 250 degree oven for about 5 minutes. Ovens may vary temp so keep an eye of the walnuts. Place on parchment paper and when cool, just break them apart and place in a tightly sealed container. Wow are they good! I’ve hear of people adding spices to the mixture if you are so inclined, but not me. I use my Splenda and I’m happy!

Having grown up in California's orchards, I was somewhat apprehensive about the claim "Guaranteed Fresh". If I am buying California Walnuts in May, it is not possible for the nuts to be "Farm Fresh". To my surprise, however, the walnuts have a very fresh flavor. Unlike 'Kirkland Signature' walnuts, there is no musky almost rancid taste. I will not hesitate to purchase these nuts again. Furthermore, given the positive experience I have had with this purchase, I will certainly purchase other nuts from Farm Fresh Nuts! Just as a heads-up, never store nuts in an acrylic or plastic type container. The oil from the nuts seep into the these type of containers and greatly decrease shelf life and taste (not to mention that the container can never be cleaned). If you find a need to store the nuts in some other vessel, always use glass. I have kept these nuts in the resealable bag that they come in and, after almost one month, have not noticed any change in taste.

I have been using Farm Fresh Walnust for quite a while....over a year. ALWAYS HAPPY with them. Fresh, tasty. THIS LAST TIME was awful. Don't know if "Farm Fresh" or Amazon was the problem. They arrived around 11/20. I snack on them. So I was anxious for my snack and tasted one and yuk. Stale. Every other time the walnut were fresh and delicious. Thanksgiving came and went so I was too busy but tonight thinking maybe it was one bad nut, I tried several.. ALL WERE STALE TASTING. I looked on the bag and it says best by 11/6. So I feel cheated.
