Good product but terrible instructions.
We had these two weeks and only caught little bugs and moths. The instructions are very sparse and pretty much useless. We were using honey water to attract the hornets and wasps that were invading our space. Finally, I started reading all the reviews and found a common thread. Beer. We headed to the store, bought the cheapest Pabst beer and the next day we started catching the hornets and wasps.Oh.....and you don't throw the trap away as hinted to in the instructions. You empty the trap and refill it.I'm guessing these were made overseas and the instructions were not created by a person fluently speaking English which is why they're totally useless.It's a good product after you get through all the new user rigamarole.

This is a yellow jacket diner, many can come in then leave
Im currently using 3 different yellowjacket traps. They are everywhere this time of year and this trap gets about 8 per day I have watched several yellowjackets crawl in feed on bait then leave...... no problem for them. My other traps kills 100++ every 2 days when I empty it. I haven't figured out what use the light is since its very dim.... i never had a problem with yellowjackets at nite. I feel this trap is over rated. Get the double bubble one... use 1 cup juice, 1/2 cup cider vinegar, and 1/2 cup sugar... for bait..

Not catching anything for me. Not a single yellow jacket.
After a month I’m quite disappointed in these. I was hoping for something environmental and reusable but these just aren’t getting the job done for me. I’ve tried sugar water, meat, even beer - all the things yellow jackets LOVE in my back yard - but I have yet to see a single one in these traps. I’ll get a couple flys and gnats and the occasional moth but these are otherwise total duds.

TOTAL waste of money
Bought 2 of these due to an upcoming yard party. Put out 2 weeks in advance to see how well they worked. After 2 weeks, and following the directions on their website (because NOTHING instruction wise came in the box, just the 2 containers and nothing else) NOT A SINGLE BEE in either trap. Mind you, these traps were strategically placed in a very highly wasp and yellow jacket trafficked area. Finally I bought another brand at home depot, within 2 hours of hanging the trap (in same area) I had 6 yellow jackets in the trap. The brand in this review is nothing more that a solar yard light (crapy at best) disguised as a bee trap.

Waste of money.
Does not work for me. It will capture moths, but not one wasp, yellow jacket or bee. I placed it directly next to where a some small bees were hanging out but caught nada. Dont waste your money like I did.

it really works
my wife showed this to me and I said its bull not gonna work. well I was wrong. 19 yellow jackets in under two hours.i got stung bad this weekend in pool so I was desperate. put some beer in it and they come straight for it. ordering two more now.i don't do reviews but this actually works great.

They do work!! There's a trick...
The trick?? Use beer. These things have to be cleaned out every other day with all the flys and wasps and yellow jackets they catch!!

Didn’t work for us.
This product did nothing for our wasp and bee problem around our pool. Tried several “sweet” liquids and all we ever caught were gnats.
