Very Good!
I used to regularly buy the "gohandesuyo" product several years ago, but sort of forgot about it at some point. I randomly stumbled across it a few months ago here on Amazon and noticed that there were a couple of smaller (possibly more "artisanal?") brands -- like this one -- that seemed a bit more interesting to try at this stage of my life. So here I am. Admittedly, I can't really recall exactly what gohandesuyo tastes like, but I can say that I had an immediate and quite strong sense of nostalgia upon trying my first bite of this stuff with some rice -- so this one is not far off from there. Its flavor is a perfect balance of salty, a bit sweet, and intense umami. Absolutely delicious! Texture is exactly what you'd expect, a sort of slippery gel. (Which sounds not great when written, but of course mixed with some rice it's a thing of true beauty.) This product is a touch on the pricey side for the amount you get, but seems to be a high-quality offering. I certainly recommend it if you're into this sort of thing. I'll certainly order again, and I'm looking forward to trying the "nori" flavor to see how it compares to the "seaweed" flavor that I got this time.

Tastes great
I am not accustomed to eating seaweed, except a few sushi now and then. With that said, this was tasty, and was what I was looking for to make musubi. I was surprised by the small amount, even though the ounces are listed on the package. I am not sure if this is unusual or if it is a good deal. For me, it's too expensive for every day, but for a special occasion, I'll buy again.

Delicious but needs to list all of the ingredients
I have just received this. It smells great and tastes delicious, just like I remember from being in Japan. But after a tiny taste, I think I may be having an MSG reaction? I'm not sure. I'm very sensitive to some foods and definitely to MSG and other chemicals, which leads me to my next comment. On the label the ingredients are listed as: nori, soy sauce, starch syrup, sugar, bonito extract, seasoning, polysaccharide thickener, caramel pigment. If I had read these ingredients in the advertising, I would not have bought it, not knowing what some of these ingredients are made from. They could contain wheat, possibly GMO, or MSG, or who knows? Worse is that the question was asked and people gave answers that are wrong. One person said just seaweed, the other gave a list which is not what I see on the label, so either the ingredients have changed, which I somehow doubt or people are, what? Making stuff up? I don't understand why people answer questions on Amazon that they clearly do not know the answers to.

Too sweet
It was surprisingly sweet for something that is advertised as being a seaweed and soy sauce reduction- I expected saltiness to be the distinguishing flavor. Tastes okay but too sweet for me.

No sodium???
They printed this English nutrition fact label on here. Looks pretty unofficial obviously, but it says 0 sodium. I would love to be true, but itโs hard to believe this actual doesnโt have any since most include soy sauce.
