Can the 3lb blanket be used on a 6 month old? Weight at 18lbs right now. I wanted ti buy something she can grow into. Thanks.

At 10 percent of body weight as the rule, you should be waiting until your child is at least 30 pounds and 3 years old for a 3 pound blanket weight. My child is just at this cutoff and I am still concerned with the safety of it. SIDS is still a valid concern at 6 months especially if you add a heavy or large blanket they cannot escape from during the night.

What are the loops used for?

Sorry I’m not aware of any ‘loops’. There is a medium-sized tag on it which has laundering instructions (cold wash, lay flat to dry).

It only comes with one blanket. It's of good size and well made. I love the one I bought. It works perfectly for my daughter. But it only comes with the one blanket as described...

Is it just the cover or is it the cover and the weighted part?

It's fleece on one side and cotton on the other. You can buy a cover for it but it isn't necessary.
