I bought this for my daughter. She loved it (notice the past tense). The bracket broke when I was lowering the bike with the basket attached from its wall hanger. The basket or bracket did not hit anything. The force of the bicycle wheels hitting the ground sent a shock through the plastic bracket and snapped it. Partially my fault for letting the bike down so hard but the plastic bracket could have been more robust.No problem, I thought, I will just order a new bracket. BIG PROBLEM! I cannot find a replacement anywhere. This well built wire basket is now a piece of disposable trash because of an underdesigned plastic bracket that is not replaceable. Too bad - I suppose the manufacturer intends this to be a one season or so product requiring periodic replacement of the whole.

Goes well with Schwinn Ladies Perla 7 Speed Cruiser (blue). The bike is a slightly paler shade, but only noticeable if you are analyzing up close. It looks like they came as a set. The basket fits on it well. You will have to adjust your front reflector to the side of your handle bars to make room for the basket.

I love this basket! I received a Schwinn Fairhaven cruiser for my anniversary and realized I needed a basket to carry my things. I searched online and in stores and this was the best I found - cute color that matches perfectly, perfect size, sturdy, and easy to install. And best of all, the price can't be beat! Love the color of the basket, just as I pictured it and much cheaper than forking out the fortune that an Electra basket would cost. Was pretty easy to figure out how to attach it if you follow the instructions. The only drawback I could think of was that it is very difficult for me to detach the basket from my bike. In order for me to detach it, I have to use one hand to hold down the release button and the other hand to push up on the bottom of the basket and pull away to get it to come off. However, it's not much of a big deal for me as I don't plan to detach my basket much anyways!

Updating after a year. Basket has rusted and slips around on the handlebars (I have a SCHWINN beach cruiser so the handlebars are thicker than say a mountain bike). Originally I thought it was a nice basket, came dented, but husband bent it back and it looks acceptable. The bracket is plastic and I hope it holds up. Needless to say, that after a year, I am shopping for a new basket.

Almost matches my mint green Schwinn perfectly. Love it! Very sturdy and comes with a quick release for you to easily remove it for travel without entirely unscrewing it from the bike. Love love love this basket!

Pro: I Love the aqua colored basket. Con: the basket doesn’t stand still and It keeps tilting down so I have to buy another support device to hold it up right.

I found this little basket after searching quite awhile for one that was't overpriced. I love how securely it hangs on its bracket, and yet you can snap it right off and use it for a small shopping basket. The only thing that keeps it from being 5 star is that I noticed the beautiful paint is fading. I am very handy and I can probably just shoot it with more paint, but I've only had it for about 6 months and it shouldn't be needing that. I use it on my bike for shopping and I love it.
