I really like this water bottle but wish I could get the original style flip top. I love that it is a glass bottle avoiding plastics and metals. The protective sleeve does the job. The protective sleeve can be removed for cleaning which I would recommend or you can put it in the dishwasher. The straw type cap never holds up as a leak in the vacuum happens easily.

I've been very pleased with this bottle. It came initially missing the seal for the stopper that prevents leaks. I contacted customer service and they were very responsive and sent me a replacement part immediately. Popped it in and now its great! I've had it for quite awhile now and the silicone has stayed good without getting a kind of sticky film over time like some bottles I've had before. I liked it so much I ordered another and they're both equally good.

Ive had it for a couple months and I love it so much. perfect size, I love the glass and silicone sleeve. The quality of those parts are great! I have gotten one of my prof. and a friend to buy one. However, ive noticed the black plastic cap on top can leak and also ive noticed black pieces of plastic floating around in there recently. I got it to not drink microplastics but because the cap is still plastic its still an issue. Let me know when you increase the quality of the cap to not do those two things and ill be the first one to buy it!

I've been buying these water bottles for many years. I trust this brand to deliver a vessel for my water, free of heavy metals that often slouth off in metal water bottles (Stanley's included). The glass itself is made in France, free of lead, and the silicon sleeve is made in the US. This specific lid is the best. No straw means no gross mold buildup in impossibly small places to clean. I prefer this lid over all the others. It's super easy to clean :)

I LOVE my Lifefactory bottles. I have used them for years, and I used to buy them at my local coop. But I've since moved to a new location where I can't get them locally, so I bought one from Amazon. THAT was a mistake.First of all, the shipping. Amazon shipped a GLASS bottle in nothing but a lightly-padded envelope. That the bottle did not break during shipping is a testimony to Lifefactory's quality. I did not see any cracks in the glass, and I could not feel any cracks in the rim of the bottle. That was a relief...BUT, the bottle stunk something horrible.Amazon apparently uses some kind of spray (pesticide?) in their warehouses. It has a sickly sweet smell that covers everything I've ordered there in the past year or two. Usually it washes out pretty easily, so I put the Lifefactory bottle and cap in the dishwasher. I washed it once. Still stunk. I washed it twice. Still stunk. So my spouse tried washing it by hand, removing the silicone sleeve. There was clearly a film of some kind over the outside of the bottle. Spouse scrubbed the bottle and the sleeve for 20 minutes but could not get that film off. And finally, the bottle broke. I'm guessing the careless shipping of the glass bottle led to microcracks in the glass that weren't apparent at first. So I am now stuck with a useless, smelly silicone sleeve and a plastic, both which are still coated with whatever film Amazon sprays on everything. And I know how plastic soaks up stuff like that, so there is no way I will ever put my mouth on it.And of course, now I can't return the thing.So do yourself a favor: Go to Lifefactory's website and buy one there. Pay for shipping. You will no doubt get a bottle you will be glad to drink out of.

I have NO idea why Amazon shows it is "frequently returned". The bottles have an effective Silicone sleeve that protects from slippage. I like them so much I have (2) ounce, (2) 16 ounce, and (2) 22 ounce bottles. I use the small ones for my daily vitamin cocktail and leftover sodas, and the medium size for my " glass on the table at mealtime", and the large ones for "on the go". I have always like to drink water and now I can be confident of the taste. No " refrigerato" or "stale" odors can be absorbed. I am 75 years young and have essential tremors. Even when I put the bottle down on the endtable I don't accidentally knock it off the table. When I walk around the house or in the yard with the dog I am 100% sure either I won't drop it, and if I do , it is 80% less chance of breaming. I'll let you know if that happens.he go".
