Works and it is fun to use!
Works as well as it is claimed in the performance specifications, very easy to assemble, use, and move around. Very sturdy and compact machine. I am a 70-year-old person with no experience with gas powered machines, all my tools such as lawn mower, weed-trimmer, chainsaw, and pressure washer are all either electric or cordless. I was afraid of getting into gas, oil, maintenance, and repair situations, but I was in fact surprised on how easy it was to assemble the machine and get it started in the first try and ever since. It takes and grinds quite fast any sort of branches less than 2 and half inches thick dry or wet. In my first use I mulched all 2 and ½ inches branches of three medium size pine trees (cones and everything) in less than an hour. I have used it several times and never had a single hiccup. I have to say that it is in fact fun to use this machine, as long as you are wearing ear plugs and gloves. It does pull away fast from you the long and highly branched limbs as you feed them. It is the best large item product I have bought from amazon. During delivery the box was damaged and the filter box was slightly bent, however the manufacturer responded rapidly and courteously and is shipping a replacement part even though the machine is working perfectly as is.

Pretty good value and works well.
So I've had this about half a year and used it several times. I've probably only have a bout 6 hours run time on it but it really makes quick work of my brush pile. The Pros: The engine is a honda predator clone so parts are cheap and readily available. It does a great job chipping up branches. Its easy to move around and get it to where your brush is. The Cons: The hopper for leaves and brush doesn't work great. The bag is really small and you'll fill it quick. It is pretty loud and chips fly everywhere so eye and hearing protection are a must but its a power tool so that is to be expected. The only problem I've had was the carburetor got clogged after about an hour of use which is a common problem whit certain predator engines. The nice thing is rebuild kits are about $15 for this carb. All I had to do though was clean it out and put on new gaskets. As far as the small bag if you are chipping up a lot of sticks I recommend just laying out a large tarp under the discharge chute then just rake up the chips after your done as they do go everywhere. Otherwise you'll spend more time emptying the bag then actually chipping up sticks. If you only have a few to do you could get away with usng the bag.

Minor issues and some nitpicking
My unit arrives and was missing a nut. $ bolts and nuts with 3 attached to the machine and the 4th bolt was found at the bottom of the box and no nut anywhere. Trip to the hardware store was the fastest remedy. Instructions were clear and easy to follow till I got to the type of oil. The SuperHandy insert sheet said 15W-40 and the instruction book for the engine said 5W-30 call to Great Circle and they said use 5W-30. Oil is a pain for filling get a long neck funnel, and the oil dipstick is black which doesn't aid in seeing if the oil is correct. The start up instruction where easy to follow and unit started right up and runs well. Easily handles dryer branches (4 weeks from blow down) 2 inches and less feed right in no problems. Thicker 3 inch branches and engine shut down and smaller then 3 inches to around the 2 inch motor starts to bog down so shorten the length of the branch and let it power back up before adding another branch. So far I'm pleased with my purchase.

Great Wood Chipper and Value!!
I researched getting a wood chipper that would handle up to 3" for a while and then found this one. I read the reviews, watched youtube videos, ect. and decided to get this. It arrived in perfect condition (sounds like some others were delivered dented) and the packing was excellent. Took me about an hour to assemble. Easy directions that were accurate and all of the parts were there!! Filled the oil (probably need to say this... take off the chute to add the 16 oz of oil to the engine, then reinstall the chute) There are no instructions for the bag that collects the chips but its really easy... Filled the gas and followed the directions to start the machine.... 3 pulls and it started right up... Easy choke and speed controls. Ran the chipper for 5 hours using the chute and top hopper..I love that you can fill the bag or let the chips go to the ground. . it never missed a beat :)) I was HAPPY and would recommend this machine to anyone. UPDATED after using the chipper another 5 hours, still SUPER HAPPY with it. Starts easy, Runs great, both the hopper and chute chipping work as designed.....Great customer service. After just a second use, my chipper bag developed a hole. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement bag right away at N/C. THANK YOU!!!

Good Machine!
I gave it five stars because it works well and starts easily. Assembly was straight forward. Leaves: Trying to use it like a vacuum cleaner would work if it were not for small sticks. Don't know about anyone else but if you have leaves to mulch you probably have sticks mixed in with them. The sticks clog up the vacuum hose constantly. So much for that. The top loader chute: Yea, I get it, someone could stick their arm all the way up to their elbow and chew off their fingers so they put the rubber flappy thing there for safety. Well, that makes loading leaves a chore. Took ours off and now we just shovel the leaves in with an aluminum grain scoop shovel. Works like a champ! Branches: Just plain works and well. Mulch/Leaf bag: Fills up FAST, so we do not use it unless the master gardener wants some really nice mulch for her beds. It is a good machine, well built out of heavy gauge steel, nothing wimpy about it. We are very pleased with it. Since this is not our first time at the rodeo we did not have any delusions about merrily vacuuming up leaves to begin with.

Chipper is good for periodic residential use. Mulching ratio is very good for gardening.
I have used this 4 times since purchase of fall 2020. Overal, I like the chipper. Few notes: hopper needs to be fed as a continue stream of leaves and debris but not thrown in as a pile. A pile clogs the hopper shoot to shredder blades but continue stream sliding down the hopper chute works much better. The hopper does not do well with twigs per se. Feeding through the chipper work much, much better. Chipper chute works best with side branches trimmed off. You can push the side branches through but you need to use a push rod as self feeding mode works only with straight limbs. The bag is the weak point. Within 15 minutes of use the eyelet came out and had to manually hold bag in place. The draw string on the included bag is worthless. The included bag is small and fills fast. I purchased a bigger bag that fits chipper but in this case my wife sewn a inside patch over both eyelets and I used a bigger flat washer along with wing nut. This worked quite well. The larger back really helped. One trick is to attach larger bag and then leave zipper open. This way the bag absorbs the velocity of output chute and you do not have to empty bag. As bag begins to fill, I just grab underneath and empty enough so as not to block output chute. This worked well for volume shredding of one acre of leaves and then I would just rake out into gardens. The maneuverability was fantastic because I just move the operation to the next batch of leaves. To speed process up, I had my wife mow the leaves, being them to me and the I shred them to bits. This allowed me to use this a mulch for various yard gardens. One last thing that I am sure SuperHandy will not like is that in order to use the shredding hopper, I had to remove the protective straps. I am sorry to say but those safety straps made loading the shredding hopper very difficult and caused the hopper to plug every time. So what I did instead was use a 24 or 30 inch leaf rake, load the leaves on the rake, stand back away from shredder chute and off to the side and tilt the rake into the chute. This worked very well and allowed constant feeding of chute sped the process up considerably. Keep in mind, I am a 6 foot plus tall weightlifter and have long arms to do this and the leaf rake has a 5 foot broom handle. Overall, I am happy with chipper with the few modifications of use. I will say it is tough to feed a true 3 inch Queen or King Maple tree limb through chipper. Chipper bogs down and you have to slow feed. Douglas Fir was okay. I would say for continue use 2 inch would be max. Gas tank last quite a long time. To fill oil, you must remove chipper chute first or fill the oil then attach chute. Manual pull starting worked just fine. Would start on first pull. Not overly noisy but that said I used noise reduction ear muffs and face shield. I would recommend purchase with caveats mentioned above. My wife is 4'-7" so loading shredder was not possible for her because of safety reasons. Only I load shredder. She had no problem using chipper chute. She mainly brought leaves to me and I did the rest.

All in all, not a bad chipper... at first. Leaks oil.
I turns out that the unit leaks oil like an antique British motorcycle. After initial use the I placed the unit in my barn, fortunantely over a piece of cardboard. Later I found the cardboard soaked withoil. The leak seems to be coming from a gasket at the bottom of the motor. Original Review: The chipper arrived from the seller five days early. Assembly is awkward because of the need to wrestle the heavy engine/chipper unit around while adding the wheels and lower stand in place. Once the wheels and stand is in place, the only other difficulty was threading the hopper bolts due to a little paint in the threads. A 10mm and 13mm pair of ratcheting box end wrenches will make this assembly go easily. Follow the order of assembly or risk losing a bolt or nut into the hopper (something my younger self might have done.) Overall assembly is about "putting wheels on a bicycle" level of complexity. The unit started first pull. It makes a lot of odd noises on start up, likely the cutter unit. Ours died unexpectedly one time but only once. Other than that the operation of the engine has been fine. The wife is critical of the size of the pieces ejected. We are using this to chip Yaupon and some of the stem pieces ejected are up to three inches in length. That's the reason for the 4 starts overall. It is much heavier than I expected and pulling it up and down hills is best done on a smooth path. So good initial quality. Awkward, but simply assembly. Works as advertised. Knowing what I know today, I would NOT buy it again if I were looking for a small chipper.

Good home chipper
I’ve had this machine for a couple of years now and I’m completely satisfied with its performance. It starts first time and does exactly what I purchased it for, to clean up the constantly falling branches on my wooded lot. Some things to know about this machine: - it’s loud, hearing protection is a must - in-spite of the flaps covering the opening, wood will shoot back at you so wear eye protection and don’t stand in front of the chute -while the machine is capable of chipping up to 3” branches, anything over 2” will jam the machine unless you cut them into short pieces. When the machine jams, you have to take it apart to clear the jam - it will however easily chip multiple small branches together - the instructions advise you use pure gas, which I do. It’s a little expensive but you don’t use much and it will keep the mechanisms clean. - the machine come with a collection bag which works well but it is a cloth material that will eventually wear out (I’ve already asked my wife to repair mine). - the machine comes in a box and requires assembly but the assembly instructions are pretty good and it goes together fast With that said, it’s a great machine snd I highly recommend it.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The Super Handy gas powered wood chipper is a compact and reliable garden tool designed for processing branches and yard debris. It has a durable metal body, is well assembled, and looks solid and new. The gasoline engine with a recoil start had no trouble starting at around −25 degrees. The wide feed hopper with rubber flaps makes operation safer, and the chipped material is discharged through a side chute. All parts fit perfectly, assembly was easy, and it comes with a one year warranty, so I plan to start using it actively in the spring.

Good unit
It’s a good little unit for what it is. I’ve put about 10hrs on it so far. It has shredded and chipped everything I’ve put through it. I’ve put the largest pieces of mountain ash that would fit in the chute and no issue's. They only thing I would suggest is a push stick

It is still work, just not as tough.
just be aware that leaves must be DRY before you grind them and that the catch bag has no way of staying on, other than that it works great.
