You will thank FISHER PRICE for the 20 minutes of peace every day!
WE LOVE THIS DINO!! I should say, my son LOVES this dino. By Love, I mean he will ALWAYS go for the dino -- it doest matter if the balls are inside, he will stick his little fingers inside and feel for the up and down motion. He will also put every other toy and object inside - nothing is off limits. Legos, remote controls, cell phones, soppy cups, and stuffed animals have all bounced inside this dino. The music and sound effect is quite annoying but I have learned to completely block it out. There is no way to turn the sound off but keep the bouncing on -- that is quite unfortunate but its OK with me. The volume settings are LOUD and LOUDER. That is really the only con about this toy -- and really, with a babbling baby, you have to expect noise, right? I actually find the up-beat music soothing since i know my baby is busy with independent play. Nothing mesmerizes my little guy like this toy. He has been playing with it since about 7 months and he is now 10 months old and loves it more than ever. He will always crawl towards the dino and spend some time picking up the balls, sticking his hand inside the "belly" and finding it hilarious that it bops up and down. To an adult, this dino doesn't seem all that special but babies go wild for it and that is what counts! I truly recommend this as a "must-have" for anyone with infants. I am a stay at home mom and love good toys that keep his attention and entertain him. He has learned "cause and effect" with this, because he will turn the sound on by himself by pressing the orange button inside. He feels really accomplished when the dino turns on :) He also loves to crawl around the playroom with the balls and play with them separately. The dino is taking more abuse now because he is crawling on top of it and turning it upside down and throwing heavy objects inside, but so far so good! The dino is holding up. Thank you Fisher Price for giving us a toy that really is fun and educational and "speaks" to little babies.

One Of My Grandson's Favorites
This toy was fantastic for my first grandson. He just loved the music it played and would dance to the rythymn. He loved chasing after the balls when he began crawling. They would be all over the house! Ball became a first word. The only issue we had was with other kids pressing down on the center sensor. This thru things off and I had to turn dino off and on with the switch to make it work. I knew this could not go on forever, so I contacted Fisher Price. They have excellent customer service. They asked me to send in my Dino, despite the fact that I had not purchased directly thru them. They sent me a completely new replacement, no charge. My second grandson is not the age for this toy. He is not as crazy about it as his older brother was, but it is still a fun toy. This is a fun toy. Fairly sturdy, just have to be careful how kid's handle the sensor. Also, what they put in it. They tend to want to put other toys in, other than just the balls it comes with. Highly recommend Fisher Price.

My son's favorite toy
Of all the toys my 9-month-old received this Christmas, this is definitely his favorite one. He loves to stick his hands in the pit and grab for the balls as they go poppity pop. It's only been a few days since Christmas and some of his other toys have practically been forgotten. But not this one. He goes back to it time and time again. It arrived quickly and packaged in a large box. Assembly was super easy as it required no screws or tools. Just snap three pieces into place. The only area that needed a screwdriver was the battery compartment. It takes 3 C batteries (not included). The overall design is simple and very cute. It comes with a few balls which are large enough for baby to grab. We also added our own additional balls, which were similar in size and weight (about the size of a ping pong ball). As soon as the balls land in the pit, they start popping around like crazy and a cheery melody plays. What I really like is there are no choking hazards or sharp edges. Overall it's an awesome toy.

Skip the frustration free packaging and you will be so happy
Overall a fun toy for my 7 month old. I originally purchased this at a local toy store. I found it at a much better price here at amazon, so i returned it and ordered it here. I never order the frustration free packaging. I must have clicked the wrong button because thats what i got. First off if purchased in original packaging it comes all put together. With the ff packaging it comes in pieces. I also noticed it had scratches all over it. Oh and guess what it showed up with no balls.....none!! I called amazon and was helped by a very friendly guy. I was emailed a return shipping label for me to ship it back with. I was told a new one was going to be shipped. To my surprise the new one showed up the very next day! That one also came in pieces and scratched up but it had all the balls. He loved it so much so despite the scratches we kept it. I love this toy because i love love hearing my son laugh and squeal with delight.

Baby Loves It!
Like a few of the negative reviews out there I received one that made horrible clanking noises and you could barely hear the music. Returned it, got another one within 2 days and this one works perfectly! Again like a lot of other reviews my daughter is obsessed with the orange button in the center, but assume she'll get past it at some point. If you don't like chasing around for the balls as they roll off this product is not for you. However I find that if I bring it outside or use in a carpeted room it's fine. This toy is wonderful and she just absolutely loves it. My daughter is only 11 months, but can imagine as a few months go by she will figure out how to put the balls down the slide and grab them when they come out the mouth. Simply a genius product and I would highly recommend!

A must have 😊
My daughter LOVES this toy and she’s learned multiple things from it.. how to start it by spinning the spinny thing, picking the balls up when they come out the mouth and putting them back onto the bouncy part, sometimes even putting them in the hole to come out the mouth and looking in the hole to see where the balls go lol.. it’s just so cute! She dances to the music and gets so excited for it. I definitely recommend!

This toy's not just for babies! My little dog just loves hers!
I am a fairly recent Gramma and my daughter had purchased this for my grandson. While over at her house babysitting one night, my little 8-1/2 lb Shih Tzu thought this was the best thing ever. To her great sadness, I would not let her play with the baby's toy but her birthday was a week away so I bought it, when I got home, for my puppy's birthday. While my grandson loves this toy, my dog adores this toy! When she wants to play with it, she goes and sits next to it and stares at me so I will flip the switch and let the balls bounce. She runs around it, catching the balls over and over and over again. Being a very smart dog (no bias here - LOL!), she has learned that dropping the balls back in the toy makes them bounce around and out again. This toy entertains her for a good long time. It was $25 well spent!

Cool Idea but Irritating Music and Requires Frequent Attention
I originally saw this toy while at a play date. I thought it was really cool and that my one year old daughter would love it. After having it for several months, I would say that this product is just ok. I think it's a neat concept, but I'm not too impressed. HOW DOES IT WORK? Basically, you put 6 brightly colored balls into a popping zone (the yellow mesh mat under the green plastic piece). The popping zone can be activated by either touching the popping zone or by rolling the orange and green roller on the front. The popping zone flings the balls up into the air similar to a trampoline (while making noises and playing music). For the most part, the balls stay in the popping zone until they exit through the hole and travel out of the dinosaur's head. Occasionally, the balls will pop out of the popping zone and roll across the floor. WHAT I DON'T LIKE. There is nothing specifically wrong with my product. It seems to be sturdy and well-made. I usually have a pretty high tolerance for musical toys, but this one just gets on my nerves. There are two volume settings in addition to the off button. Even the lowest volume setting is still loud, in my opinion. Also, the music and sounds it plays also irritate me. Even if the music doesn't bother you, the biggest con is how quickly the balls leave the popping zone and roll out of the dinosaur's mouth. This is not a toy that you can set your one year old next to for 10 minutes to get something done (obviously still with supervision). The entire ball popping and exiting is usually done within 30 seconds. That means that you have to pick up all of the balls and put them back frequently. Occasionally, my daughter will put other objects into the popping zone and she seems to enjoy that. Honestly, sometimes, I will put a bigger object into the exit hole so that the balls stay in the popping zone. My daughter likes this toy enough, but doesn't love it. So, she doesn't spend much time playing with it. Also, she's not apt to find the balls and put them back in. She may be more willing to do that in the future. ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS. We never use the dinosaur's tale to roll balls into the popping zone and my daughter frequently pulls out the orange divider piece and puts it in the popping zone, but those things don't really bother me. Also, the balls are big enough that I do not worry about my one year old swallowing them. Overall, I think this toy is a nice idea, but I am just not that impressed with it. It could just be a personal preference thing. It's possible that your kid will love it. My daughter and I just think this toy is ok.
