Black Jewell Popcorn Kernels 15 Ounces 15 Ounce (Pack of 4)

We LOVE this popcorn! Yes, it's true the original black version blows out of the air popper because the kernels are so light. We spent $10 and got a microwave silicone popper with a lid and the issue was fixed. There aren't many unpopped kernels using this method. Unlike regular unpopped popcorn, the kernels that are left are small and nutty tasting and can be eaten without problem. I will never buy anything else but Black Jewell popcorn, more specifically the original black. Good popcorn but tastes like most others. It is nice and crunchy, not chewy or mushy. Bought the variety pack. Pops well with few kernels left unpopped. Using a silicone microwave popper

That this is a wonderful popcorn that does not leave kernels (or captain’s) in your teeth. This is a good popcorn for those of us who do not have the privilege of having good teeth😄😁!

Value for the money is questionable. These are smaller kernels than typical popcorn. There are four color varieties. Taste is ok, the popped rate is good with very few kernels that didn't pop.

Update: This popcorn pops best for me in the hot air popper I just purchased. Updated the vendor who had already kindly replaced my older kernels. Happy now. Tried all four multiple times. All were very poor in my microwave popper. Less than half of the kernels actually popped. Burned easily. Bland flavor with all four. In fact I could tell no difference between any of them. They were all equally bad.

I waited a long time to review. Kept trying different ways to pop it, small pot, large pot, air popper. None came out satisfactory in the least. I do not own a microwave. But I had tried the microwave bag type once at a friends and loved the taste and texture. So I bought these bottles of kernels to try. Do not use air popper… more kernels On floor, counter, leaving very few popped in bowl. On the stove the kernels burst, but did not pop into fluffy puffs, so you end up with hard partially burnt nuggets. Can’t use air fryer, kernels too small to stay in basket. Basically a 100% fail on some spendy kernels. The few that pop properly are tasty and tender, but hulls do abound. I think the microwave bags had less hull per kernel because they burst properly. But just my opinion. Unfortunate waste of money.
